What Happens To Tito If...
he loses to Chuck Liddell on Dec. 30 at UFC 66? I doubt thier will be a third rematch if he loses unless the UFC thinks it will be interesting enough! I doubt it though! Will Tito stay at Light heavyweight, move down to middleweight, or leave the UFC all together?

If he loses he is not going to leave the UFC, he gets too much publicity here, I don't see him leaving that. And maybe its just me but Tito seems a little big to move down to MW. So I think he will stay at LH.

what if he wins? what then? I think the fight will be entertaining enough this time around and prob. wont be as quick! Tito has way to much popularity to leave the game all together...and also he's still young. I think if he loses he might start the whole BadAss skit again and try to get a huge hype on the 3rd go round but if he wins then he'll be Mr.Nice guy and hug all over Chuck sayin' how much he loves him and how he's the best fighter he ever met and all....hoping that Chuck doesn't try and get the belt back so soon!:D

I agree with Cash.

He used to be able to cut down to middleweight, but I don't think he can do that anymore. I think he's to big. He'd be a force, but with age it gets harder to cut that kind of weight.

I think Tito will stick around at Lightheavyweight. I actually do think there will be a Liddell/Ortiz 3, because it would be great publicity for the UFC to pit their biggest personalities against each other.

Tito will not leave the UFC, the money is too good, he has the best competition he can find without going over to PRIDE, which would be a huge stretch for him: going to Japan, finding a new fan base, fighting in an organization that he knows smashed Chuck. It just won't happen, plus, Dana White and Tito know that if he leaves, so does a little bit of the spotlight, and that's bad for the UFC publicity hogs.

I'd actually like to see Ortiz/Vera, if Brandon decides to drop down to lightheavyweight. I think it would be a war and we'd really get to see if Brandon is "The Truth."

When Tito loses to Chuck again it will either humble and mature him and make him a better man/fighter or it will be the beginning of the end of his UFC career.

If it's a close fight or if there is any opportunity Tito will make excuses and try to squeak a 3rd fight out of the UFC...and of course the Ortiz fans will buy into the hype and eat it up...but when 90% of your game is bluster and bravado you dont have a whole lot left when someone repeatedly puts you in your place. Right now Tito doesnt have what it takes to be a great champion...he doesnt have the mental toughness or intestinal fortitude survive a humiliating defeat like the one he's going to experience at UFC 66. With his embarrassingly immature attitude and professional wresting'esq antics I certainly wont be shedding any tears at his demise.

I listen to Tito being so arrogant and cocky and it reminds me of an old saying about fighters like him. "Where there's smoke...there's usually just more smoke."

Bye bye Tito.

I thought Vera did not plan on cutting weight? He just wanted to fight Liddell in an exhibition match so he can prove to himself that he is a top fighter.

But yeah, I agree. If Ortiz does lose, I do not see him dropping down to middleweight or quitting the UFC. Ortiz looks hungry enough to want the belt, it all just depends on whether or not if he can take the punishment that Liddell delivers.

i agree with bungle. after Tito is demoralized @ 66, he will attempt another rematch. if he doesn't get it, i see him just coaching fighters for the remainer of his days.

Im pretty sure Tito is going to win....but if he loses, why would he change anything?

pt447 11-26-2006 03:58 PM

i'd love to see Tito vs Anderson... just to watch Anderson mash Tito to a bloody pulp!

Organik 11-26-2006 04:02 PM
