5 Non-Title Matches (1 For Each Div.) You'd Like To See
realistic ufc matchups youd like to see and why
for me its
lw div: MELVIN GUILLARD VS. KENNY FLORIAN
because they are both tough and can dominate an aspect of the fight, guillard has yet to prove he can fight someone with great bjj and not get submitted and kenny has yet to prove he can fight someone with explosive standup and decent wrestling and not get ko'd.
ww division: DIEGO SANCHEZ VS. BJ PENN
This matchup is exiting and would determine if deigo is highly over-rated(like i think) or is a real contender, both exiting fighters, an exiting matchup
mw div: RICH FRANKLIN VS. MIKE SWICK
two talented fighters here, both who's chins are qeustionable but both with exiting well rounded skills and dedication.giving rich frankllin a formidable and exiting fight and mike swick a chance to establish himself.
lhw division: FORREST GRIFFIN VS. RENATO SOBRAL
Forrest has shown he is formidable against wrestlers and submission fighters and babalu has shown he can submit the best. this would be a war,a battle of wills and could go either way
hw div: BRANDON VERA VS. ANDREI ARLOVSKI( hw is so thin i have to go with a possible title fight)
Both well rounded, both very talented. Arlovski with his explosive powerfull punches and vera with his deadly knee's, kicks and striking makes for a very very exiting hw matchup.
do you guys agree, what matchups would you like to see happen in the ufc.
ive seen some poor match making in the ufc sometimes, they should go by what the fans want more.

Holy shit, I agree with you on every fight. I really want to see some of the fights in 2007 and most of them could be potential number 1 contenders matches.

Nice setup, I'd love to see all of those fights myself as well. Especially Forrest Griffin vs. Renato Sobral.
I think Forrest is definitely a rising star and went the distance with Tito Ortiz just barely losing by a decision, some even felt he won that decision. Great fighter and not arrogant, hes even basically admitted hes not able to take Chuck yet. I'm sure most of you have seen that interview. I think if he defeated Renato Sobral it would really put him over as one of the top fighters in the LHW division. Well actually, after his fight with Tito hes already considered by some as one of the top fighters.
I'd also like to see Forrest Griffin vs. Jeremy horn. OR Tito Ortiz vs. Jeremy Horn.
Brandon Vera vs. Andrei Arlovski would be a great fight like you said, I think Vera is to young in his career to get a heavyweight title shot against Tim Sylvia, he should at least have to prove himself against the former champion Andrei Arlovski first, not against a "not so good anymore" Frank Mir.

The best one I see out of Jaw's picks is AA vs. Vera. Thats a badass pick. Hard to make a prediction on that one

he provides a exciting fight 99.9% of the time he is in a ring/octagon.... you never know.. he definitly does have a punchers chance.. but god damn gsp would run thru him.. but then again.. robbie has improved alot since he last fought in UFC |
