Small Request

Can we please work on having one thread for a subject? Seriously, for some of us that were away for the holiday and come back to see this:

"Tim Sylvia Haters"
"Get off Tim Sylvias Back"
"The official Anti Tim Sylvia"
"Syvlia smack talkers"
etc. etc. etc. this is getting really old. You guys are makign threads on the same page for one that is already started. Keep them in the same thing. This goes for "Matt Hughes is a ****" or "Who does GSP fight next" or "I hate the TUF Guys" too. There's probably only 5 active topics and 40 threads for them.

Is that a stupid request or something? Yeah it can be avoided by me not clicking on it... but is it that crazy to ask people to try not to make a million threads? A lot of these people are new in the last month, and that's why this forum is getting crazy. That's what mods are for on any other forum - moving, deleting, locking, etc.

It's like the fighter salaries, there's like 5 threads for it now. I keep trying to give people the right information but I'm not going to do it 20 times.

Well to be honest its down to the mods to delete/lock/merge threads.
People will always make threads, ive been in a forum where the same thread will be posted 3 times, even though the other 2 are locked and on the same page. So asking people to NOT post the same topic isnt going to work.
Bascially the mods need to be more vigilant, or harsh. Whichever.

I really dont like to delete threads as long as they're reasonable. No, we dont need 3 threads on one thing, but if I delete a thread I may be deleting good individual posts by people. So I leave it to the people of the forum, if they want the thread gone they wont post in it and it will be quickly bumped to the next page.

That is a great piece of advice, plain & simple...

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

i think the mods should combine more threads actually. keep things clean! you can't stop people from making multiple threads on subjects, but if the mods get on it and clean it up quick, it's no big deal!

whiskey, racism, money, grease, twinkie's, guns.....yep lol thats about it

Ive no idea how active the mods are on here, but locking a thread with a link to the original thread as long as its caught soon enough works wonders, they get to add their 2 cents on that thread instead of causing a new thread.
Obviously it depends on when the thread is caught as there do seem to be a lot of new threads quite often.

Dont know if this forum has the option to merge threads either, maybe its a easy addition...
