Unless your a paid member (premium & lifetime) then you can't have images in your sig. This is a recent change so if you had an image before the change in your sig then it just became a link.

As for the thread topic....I use to dislike Diaz, but he grew on me. He became one of my favorite fighters. He puts on a great fight and isn't afraid to brawl. I don't think he is ready for a title shot but I do think he has potential to get one in 2007 or 2008.

Diaz is a decent fighter but I see him as a B level fighter. He's good but not enough to hang with the elite. Will he ever become an A level fighter? He's still young so we shall see.

Diaz has paid his dues. Ok, make him pay some more and have him fight a couple of times, against decent opponents, if he wins, he DESERVES a shot at the title.

I'm a huge ND fan as I have mentioned in many other posts. I would like to see him earn a shot at the title but fighting a UFC newb like Tibau is not the way for this to happen. Diaz must beat Sanchez in order to be considered worthy of a title shot. He needs to focus on increasing his strength because his punching power is not where it needs to be. He'll need to do this in order to put down someone like Diego.
It'll be hard for him to win and defend a title without being physically conditioned the way that Hughes and GSP are. I hope he succeeds.

They need to match Nick up against Jon Fitch next I think. I'd love to see that.

If Nick wins that one, he gets a title shot plain and simple.

i'm the only thing i'm afraid of

I think it's important to note that all of Diaz's losses in the UFC are by decision... meaning nobody has ever knocked him out or submitted him. That says a lot to me. Even out of the guys that beat him (Sanchez - couldn't groudn and pound him, Riggs couldn't finish him, Sherk couldn't finish him, etc.)

Good points. Diaz is as tough as they come, no doubt. But he just can't afford to loose any more squeakers.

I've always liked Diaz. I love his weird boxing style, and he's really slithery on the ground, which always makes for exciting fights with other grapplers and jiu-jiutsi fighters.

Unfortunately, I STILL haven't saw his recent victory at Bad Intentions because I missed the PPV and STILL haven't seen the show, which I'm very pissed about. I know how he won, but I don't know how much his skills have improved. He's got so many years to keep training and improving, and even if he does suffer more losses throughout his career, he'll be back because he has a long time in the sport.

Diaz fighting Thomas Denny next!

Nick will have to keep working, but I think he'll get there. The guys only like 23.

Anyway, Nick Diaz's next fight will be versus Thomas Denny on Jan. 20th.
The Official Website of Thomas "Wildman" Denny....sometimes pain is the ONLY solution!

Should be a good fight.
