What will happen to Joe Riggs if.......

he loses to Diego Sanchez. Ever since his fight with Matt Hughes his career has been going up and down! He lost to Matt but rebounded when he got the decision over Nick Diaz. Then he lost to Mike Swick by submission then rebounded by defeating Jason Von Flue (which wasn't really that surprising because it was Jason Von Flue)! If he fails to beat Diego what will happen to him?

Then again, what will happen if he beats Diego Sanchez? Your thoughts!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Riggs should move up to 185 if he loses to Sanchez. I'd like to see a stand up war with Leben.

A little off topic you think?

I like the idea of Riggs going up to 185 and fight there, but if he beats Sanchez, i would imagine he would ask for another title shot.

If Riggs does win he'll have a much better chance at an evetual title shot now, because the belt is off Hughes. But I don't think he can beat St. Pierre.

I read on another MMA forum that Riggs was at a marine base in San Diego today prepping for an event. One marine guy reported that Riggs told him - win or lose Diego SAnchez will have to fight and win another match after theirs and then he will get his title shot.(Doesn't seem fair if he beats Riggs). Riggs also said that Hughes and GSP have both agreed to a third fight. The marine had pics and stuff, so it seemed credible.

so basicly sanchez can lose to riggs, win one more then he still gets a title shot.

too bad riggs is gonna smash his face, then the ufc will disown him just like david louisea and matt lindland.

Ya, I heard he was a Miramar prepping for UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship®. I don't know about what he said or they said or whatever but I do know if he loses he really needs to rethink his game plan and training - do something different maybe? That is if he loses... it's gonna be a good fight for sure!
Just my humble opinion.
