Article on Dana White, Do You Agree?

Dana White / UFC Progress Report

Here is an article on the way White has tranformed the UFC. What do you guys think? If this has already been done, I am sorry I don't get that many opportunities to get on the forum.

I actually agree with the whole thing.

Especially the PPV pricing. 39.95 is great compared to boxing, especially when you're getting 6 fights minimum... and they fill all the hours. But anything over that is gonna hurt the UFC badly, especially since it's been well noted that although we love PPV's as often as they have them now, not every one of them is good (in fact it's more like 2-3 a year that are truly worthwhile.)

I got no quams with Dana, and the ones I do have (lower fighter salaries) should be fixed in due time. I'd love to see them try to bring some Pride guys over, it's the least Pride could do. He sent UFC guys there, and they lost. Should Pride be so worried about sending guys over to UFC to fight? No... but do they? Shit no.

If you go through my old posts I think I have established myself as a Dana Supporter, he has had some pretty vicious threads on here. Hopefully there will be more understanding as the UFC continues to grow and get more entertaining. REP DANA!

A groan of tedium escapes me...

I am all for Dana. He has made great decisions and really exposed the UFC to mainstream media especially with the TV shows. Also by letting his fighters comepeting in PRIDE it shows how confident he is in his fighters, which is another good thing.

I pretty much like everything Dana does, even personality wise he brings something to the table, the only thing I don't like (and am not sure if he's even responsible) is the structure of the pay-outs, I feel the TOTAL amount paid out could be divided up better IMO. All in all I think he does a great job.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

i would have to agree that the only thing messed up with the ufc is the pay scale. i think it could be alot more fair towards the fighters. but dana has done an unbelievable job bringing attention back to the ufc and expanding its sphere. if not for him the ufc would not be as big as it is. i hope he can get some pride guys to come over and fight and continue to develop new talent and bring us more exciting fights. all in all...go dana.
