Yeah on last event they mentioned that Penn will be fighting in the light weight division but after that close decision loss I think Penn and GSP should fight for the title.

I hope he does get a rematch, both his fights against Hughes and GSP were really close, he deserves to still be in the title picture.

he should drop down to LW so dana doesnt try to kick him out of UFC since GSP will hold the title forever.

BJ Penn's Commitment to the UFC and Regaining His Title
Posted by BJPenn.com Staff Writer With all that recent press about my brother, JD, and his recent business decision, I want all my fans to know that I am committed to the ufc and to carrying out my dream of regaining the title of UFC Welterweight Champion of the World.

See you all at the UFC.

BJ Penn

Penn needs to fight Hughes one last time, the rubber match. Penn had that fight in the bag, all the way up until he seperated his rib. Well then, you saw what happened in the 3rd round.

Like I said before, I'm not so sure I am that eager to see a rematch with BJ Penn and GSP! With the exception of BJ breaking GSP's nose and sending him to the hospital, nothing really happened in that fight! BJ couldn't do anything on the ground when GSP was on top of him and GSP couldn't do anything when he had BJ on the ground! Not much was accomplished in this fight!

I think BJ and Hughes are going to fight again. Then if BJ wins, he'll get his shot at GSP. I don't see what deems Penn worthy of a title shot before Hughes without beating him. Until someone else beats Matt, nobody else is the #1 contender. Sure, Serra is getting his shot, but that's due to winning TUF.

GSP's win over penn should have been a unanimous decision. i think the judge that gave the fight to penn was at the concession stand getting nachos and only saw penn's desperate submission attempt. GSP clearly won the last two rounds. im only saying this cuz i saw the fight for the first time last night and i had just heard about it on here and now i know GSP is great fo sho.

Ha! That's funny! You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. A unanimous decision? You gotta be kidding! Please tell me what GSP did to win that fight cuz I just can't figure it out! He won the last round but BJ won the first 2 pretty clearly in my eyes. GSP had 2 takedowns in the 2nd round but he did absolutely not a god damn thing not anything at all and Penn got right back up. All GSP did really was press BJ up against the fence and rest his head on his shoulder. Even in the 2nd round BJ was still landing just about every punch he threw and GSP's only points came from 4 takedowns with no action whatsoever on GSPs part and pressing BJ up against the fence and still doing absolutely nothing. That last takedown of the fight GSP got his face beat in from the bottom! BJ did more damage from the bottom than GSP could do from the top. Why is it that GSP's face continually got worse througout the entire fight but yet BJ's stayed almost completely clean and unscathed?? I'll tell you why, it's because GSP was getting the shit beat out of him nearly every minute of that fight. BJ won that fight and I will argue that forever I don't care what anyone says there was no way GSP was the better fighter that night no way in hell.
