I usually have a big party and play poker before the fights start. By the time it gets to the main event everyone is drunk and getting tossed in the pool.
I decided to watch UFC 100 alone this time to make sure I get too see GSP's fight uninterrupted.
I have friends coming up for the weekend from all over the place. I'm putting a pork-butt on the smoker at about 8am on Saturday. Friends will start showing up around 2pm. By then I should have some smoked salmon off the smoker for snacking and we'll get drunk and play UFC 2009 Unleashed. At about 8pm I'll pull the pork off the smoker and we'll get even more drunk eating pulled pork sandwiches and hashbrowns. By 1:30am we'll be so trashed we'll still be arguing fights and recreating situations as drunken juijitsu at 1am is ALWAYS a good idea. By 3am we'll all be passed out and/or in bed.
Convincing my boss to let me leave work early and racing to the Buffalo Wild Wings down the street from my work. Otherwise, cussing and being a total ass to my co-workers until I get home to watch them online.
Having a few friends over, 4 or 5. One of my friends knows alot about MMA but the others usually ask me to break down the next fight during the fight hype and introductions. I just give them a "This guy is a BJJ Black Belt, he will want to get the fight to the ground and the other guy is a striker, with great wrestling" or something like that.
Always have a few beers and focus on the fights as much as possible.
I have no idea. The 2 bars I usually watch UFC at are both closed for the next few months and I can't buy PPVs where I live. Hopefully a friend will be having a UFC party or something or I am going to miss out.
Few VERY GOOD (not many of those) friends, good food, good drinks a few cigars hanging over at the house--- BIG SCREEN, BIG SOUND--- all keys in the jar no one leaves unless 100% sober---
By myself, sitting at my computer like a loser watching my Private feed. Usually on PPV nights I am freaking out with my vaporizor doing sprawls and just lifting weights inbetween fights, as I get more and more crazy watching the pre-fight buildups for the 100th time. I can't eat when it is on, I get too nervous like I'm about to fight myself, so I wait until just before the main event to grab some food to enjoy after.
Actually for the last few ppvs I've been on this forum trolling and posting results like an idiot, I'm going to cut back on that.
Man I wrote a lot for nothing. POST
Same. I'm from the Kansas City area and I have some friends who compete in the BBQ cmpetitions here and do very well. They've given me their recipies with a 'no compete' clause so I can make some BBQ that rivals anything you find in the KC area. I have had good luck with most cuts of pork, beef, and fish. I haven't tried turkey or chicken yet.
What is everyone's drink of choice for UFC events? We usually play a game where if you call a fight wrong you take a shot of tequila (two for championship fights). With that game in effect I try to not mix beer and liquor so we run with a mix of Squirt and Vodka, Crown and Coke, or my personal favorite, 'Johnnie Walker (Black Label) and Cherry Coke'.
Well, there are also times that some Patron is just what the soul craves...
Watching the you know what and shouting in the you know what and watching lord and master get drunk as hell, so I can wake up in the morning with a story to tell.
Im getting married in a couple weeks so the boys are taking me out for my bachelor party to watch the fight and hitting the strippers or more likely than not I would suspect watching the fight at the strippers.
Getting a friend over drinking a few tins, playing some ufc undisputed, watching the event and making a few bucks on the hendo bisping fight. Hendo by tko of course
I'll be on a birthday party and get drunk. Then I'll take a cab home at 2am and get ready for UFC which starts at 4am here. Should be a fun night.
