In reality, Mayweather would decimate, and I mean decimate Torres on the feet. I don't care if Torres can throw leg kicks and knees and what not. Floyd Mayweather's base is to counter. Clinch work, Mayweather probably has upper core strength that Torres would never see before. Give him 6 months at the most to study kicks and he'd counter them. It wouldn't be a good idea to try and trade with him.
With that said, if Torres were to get him to the ground, it'd be virtually over.
With all of this said, I am not a boxing fan, nor am I blind follower of MMA to which I am completely bias towards MMA in general. However, this talk about how Mayweather would get trashed against these guys on the feet and such is just looney. Stand up with the guy, and you will get clocked. Why? Because that's his job and strictly his job, not all around MMA. With that said, that is exactly why on the ground he'd be a fish out of water and be done fairly easily unless he'd develop explosive wrestling techniques to get back to his feet.

And you're just a blind MMA follower. You'd probably think BJ Penn could take Mayweather in a boxing match.

You're the one with less than 20/20 vision my friend.
With the ability to throw kicks and knees and grappling, wouldn't you think Mayweather would feel a little overwhelmed? he's looking at foot, head and shoulder movement to predict punches being thrown, and would have a hard time changing his whole game plan to be on par with someone who does this regularly.
When you're awesome at what you do for a long time, little changes can make a big difference.

Mayweather would beat mma fighters in boxing with the fat gloves and all that shit BUT! In mma he is not going to be able to stand with people there cuz there is more to worry about. F&@k mayweather!

Agreed. May is silly fast and he doesn't get hit. we see matchups between dudes in which there is a considerable speed/accuracy difference (think Anderson Silva but faster) and the other dude gets owned.
Granted, standup is all Flo. Torres would HAVE TO take him down and it would be like old school Gracie vs. White Tiger.

He's looked at head and shoulder movement virtually his entire life in contact sports. About the kicks, already mentioned.
About the grappling, already mentioned.

with all that's said, and since I doubt the fight will ever happen, I'll just say you're being insular and move on.
but, if it does happen, I'm reviving the piss out of this thread. lol

Watch any of the old boxing vs. pro wrestling matches in Japan. The boxer has never won, EVER. They almost never get taken down either, they just get their legs kicked to holy hell by shity strikers that don't know how to kick but do it anyways.
I'm not even taking about scrub boxers either, I mean like Inoki vs. Ali.
Anoki clearly had no idea how to strike, and he whiped Ali's ass anyways.
So no, Mayweather can't strike with Torres, who is very good at striking overall. You don't learn kicks in 6 months. Try 6 years.
You're probably one of those people that think Oscar de la Hoya can outstrike Melvin Manhoef or even Anderson Silva.
