Miguel Torres: ‘Floyd Mayweather is a cocky A-hole and I will smash his ass’

Quote:

“I would love to fight Mayweather, just because of the simple fact that I think he’s a cocky asshole … I’m not a white person, and I will smash his ass. I don’t care. His style of boxing is all built on getting people in the clinch. He’ll hit them, and then he’ll get in the clinch with them. Then the referee breaks them, and he’ll hit them and grab them again. I think it’s a great strategy. It’s not clean boxing, but it’s smart boxing. He’s going to hit somebody and grab them in MMA, and he’ll be done for. They’ll take him down. That’ll be all. I’ll be on top of the list to fight him.”

Fresh off his cobra venom and lions blood performance at last night’s White Sox game, WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres responds to boxing big-mouth Floyd Mayweather who recently slammed mixed martial arts as a sport for beer drinkers and white people. The non-Anglo Torres takes exception to the Mayweather generalization and promises to show “Pretty Boy” an eight-sided beatdown should he ever be man enough to find his way to the cage. Torres (37-1), who is widely considered the best bantamweight in the world, will next fight Brian Bowles (7-0) and defend his title once again in the WEC 42 main event on August 9 while Mayweather will go head-to-head with Juan Manuel Marquez inside the ring and UFC 103 outside of it on Sept. 19.

Personally, I'd find it hilarious. Miguel would whoop him so bad, and god knows the douce deserves it.

We wouldn't need Torres to wreck him, I feel like most MMA fighters that aren't stupid enough to stand up with a boxer (oh Tim Sylvia you beautiful moron), would most likely beat Mayweather in MMA.

True, but Torres is good enough to toy with him.
Would be like an episode of bully beatdown

shoot, floyd would get worked on a mat by any scrub with a blue belt. traditional boxing only works in boxing, arguably kickboxing, and for the punchers chance.

This made me realize how bad I want Miguel Torres to fight Danny Bonaduce.

Wow, a sign of things to come? I don't think Mayweather couldn't even be that good in K1!

Arguably being the keyword. Most boxers who try kickboxing defend kicks the same way they'd defend punches. And forget about checking or foot movement. I think the best example would be Jerome Le Banner. He was a boxer who adapted his defense properly to K1.

Torres would beat mayflower up and take his dignity from him if he would ever step in the cage with him. Floyd mayflower deserves a bigass knockout and some punches afterwards.

lol...

another mma fighter catching feelings over something floyd said clearly to get some attention, it's obvious he had no intention of backing his shit up.

smh...

props to torres though, great fighter imo
