I must be the only one who thinks Vince could do a good job. WWE/WWF/WE whatever is ENTERTAINMENT, its a show, everyone knows its not real, everyone knows its for entertainment. They have people walk into the ring for the entertainment and to rile up the crowd. The refs get "knocked out" to allow unsportsman like behaviour to rile up the crowd its a SHOW.

But if he took on Pride he knows he cant do that to it, maybe a little more "him Vs me im a kill him" bravado to psyche up the show, but even the UFC does that.

If he brought Pride he would keep it as it is, but pay more, have more shows, and put it on free tv to start with. In the end the rules will be more like UFC so he can host a lot of shows in the USA, but hell, i like UFC the most so them rules are fine by me anyway.

I think you all are dilusional (SP, im drunk :P), he's a money man, makeing Pride into a circus WONT make him money. I think it wouldnt be to bad TBH.

Being a pro wresting fan makes me keep up with the WWE side of things, at least a little. I don’t watch their programming anymore, but I keep my eye out for important news. From the rumors floating around, if the McMahon’s were to buy PRIDE, it would be Shane McMahon running the whole operation. He’s a huge MMA fan, and was the one to get Vince behind the entire idea of it. I don’t think any aspect of pro wrestling would be brought into it, it would be a completely different business venture. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear some noise about a couple WWE guys wanting to try MMA though.

You can't put one man's separate endeavours into watertight boxes.. something will always leak through. McMahon has proven time and again that he makes his money by excessive hype, childish theatricism, promoting steroids and exploiting viewer gullibility (yes, some idiots will still argue that it's real, or only "semi-staged" ..whatever that means). Entertainment?? more like garbage.
And the point that McMahon is a businessman and will only do the smart business thing isn't valid.. most businessmen have a tendency to keep doing whatever has worked for them in the past. I hope the UFC takes Pride over before WWE.. otherwise the sport will turn into mainstream trash.

My opinion is inparallel with "Lidellianeko"

I don't want to see soemthing great like Pride turn into the trash of WWE.

1. He who spares the bad injures the good

2. To compete is to live, but in order to fight you must first begin by digging two graves.

3. No good deed shall go unpunished.

It's not going to happen, no way in hell. I much rather have the UFC buy Pride than the WWE in a million years.
I don't think the handful of morons that would believe that will matter much. Really though.

And while I'm on the subject of "belief", I once knew a guy in his late twenties who would become slightly offended if anyone around him said pro wrestling was fake. We'd pick with him on the job just to get a rise then laugh our arses off.

Lol at WWE buying PRIDE FC.

"Here is Crocop with the sledgehammer".

"If ya smell what Fedor is cooking!"

No way WWE buys PRIDE FC. UFC maybe, but if WWE does that ruins MMA. Vince probably wants to ruin MMA.

I would much rather have UFC buy PRIDE FC than WWE. If WWE would buy PRIDE it would make MMA look like a joke just like Pro-Wrestling. MMA and Pro-Wrestling are two completely different worlds and should NEVER cross.

I don't like the idea of UFC buying Pride. I would rather that another company buy Pride, because once UFC eats Pride, basically we're left with just one MAJOR MMA organization having a monopoly of the sport and the big name fighters. This won't be good for the fighters and fans. There should be healthy competition between organizations for fighters to get paid better and PPV prices reasonable.

K-1 will still be there but that is a good point.
