Yah his JJ is pretty ridiculous. But Bjs is something else. Like Kenny is supposed to be a good JJ practiioner and BJ made him look like he never heard of JJ.

I'm going out on a limb, and saying that Roop MADE HIM look good.

Joe wouldn't shut up about Sotty's passes... but let's face it, Roop was doing next to nothing to prevent a lot of them.

George Roop is at the bottom of the barrel in talent of the current UFC roster. Sotiropoulos will eventually be exposed as the TUF6 waste that his fellow cast mates have fell under..all of them, and will eventually be defeated by someone with somewhat decent skills.

George Roop is terrible man. The guy earned a split decision over Dave Kaplan. He also had trouble with "Buckets of Blood." lawl.

Rogen was quite pathetic during this fight. He said George has the best passing skills he's seen or some shit.

As an aussie I'm proud of his effort tonight... He has a long way to go and heaps he can work on but it was good to see an aussie have a dominating win for once.

I hope he has a few more big wins in the UFC so mma becomes more popular over here.

Well done George, nice submission!

I honestly think he would have beat Tommy in the end of TUF6 if not for the incidental eye-poke. He could not see, and was hit by a hook coming from his blind side. However, this was pretty much his fault, as he immediately wanted to get back in the fight, instead of taking up to the 5 minutes he was allowed to recover. Quite an amateur mistake, thinking he has to get back in it before Tommy recovered.

And yes, I don't doubt that Roop looked like a pretty easy opponent. Still, the timing and fluidity of George's BJJ was very nice.

Also, I think I remember hearing that MMA is outlawed in several places in Australia. Maybe if George makes something of himself in the UFC, they may reconsider. If MMA had been illegal all over Canada when George St. Pierre rose to the top, I doubt it would be today now that he is a national athletic hero.

Victoria and Western Australia, MMA is illegal(could be wrong)

By the way, I am 99% sure there is more then 10 black belts in Australia...

He's from where I am from (near enough, I think he is from Geelong, 60km or so out of Melbourne CBD).

This makes me like him.

I'm not so sure, I was thinking about it and I wouldn't be surprised if there were no more than say, 15..? At the most recent Pan Pacs there were only a handful of Black Belts competing, most of which were visiting from Brasil or U.S.
