on the ground, silva is like a spider with his long legs, and he could catch lesner in a triangle, and he'll be punishing lesner with elbows from the bottom as much as lesner is punishing him, he won't look as helpless as mir imo, in that spot.

in the stand up, he is quicker than mir or any other heavyweight, much more elusive and has more weapons for lesner to worry about.

how bought a knee or kick to the face as lesners going for a takedown?

I disagree he is a lot smaller than Mir who had his hips smothered and was immobilized Brock will be able to cover basically Silva's entire body with his torso. He won't have the room to work.

yeah, your probable right about that....but you don't think he could be more slippery than mir?

still elbows will be flyin, he's not completely helpless there.

Lesnar via 1st round tko.

Honestly, giving Silva and shot against Lesnar is a bit absurd. In this hypothetical superfight, Silva would be giving up around 80 lbs to a world class wrestler.

Lesnar would take him down with in 15 secs of the fight starting. Stay chest on chest and pound him out from half guard. It would be ugly and Silva will look worst than Herring did. Hell, Ill even go out on a limb and say Lesnar has a chance of knocking Silva out standing.

Silva would be so preoccupied with a Lesnar takedown, Lesnar could fake and throw a huge right. When your fist is the size of Silva's head its going to be lights out.

Lesnar would win this fight 99/100 times. Silva would only win if he could somehow knock Lesnar out with one punch, which is doubtful.

With today's rules, Brock would kill Anderson Silva. However, in a real life fight, Anderson could stand a chance, with a kick in the balls or eye gouge or an open handed technique.

WOW, i can't believe this many people give anderson no shot in this fight.....but i'd like to ask those same people how much chance they give fedor, becuase if anderson has zero chance only becuase of the size diffrence, then fedor has zero chance as well.....fedor is shorter than anderson, and only wieghs 10 pounds more than him....if size was the only factor, fedor would have never beat hong man cho, i only use that conparison, becuase so many people use it as a reason for why fedor would beat brock....sometimes skill out ways size, when your talking about great fighters.

anderson would be lesners tuffest test yet, and anderson would also beat everyone lesner has defeated so far.

Anderson is one of a kind in his fight game, so far. But size does matter at some point, so I would imagine somehow or another, Brock would lay hands on Silva and pretty much control what happened after that. On the ground, Brock would just have to avoid being submitted long enough to pound out Silva.

But since Silva hasn't fought the best 205ers yet, let's wait and see how he does against the LHW champ and top contenders before asking him to fight the HW champ. He'd at least need some warm-ups in the HW class before a title shot.
