Machida, but it won't happen, so maybe an incredibly in shape and motivated Shogun.

I think Lyoto, Jon Jones, Ryan Bader, and outside the UFC, Gegard Mousasi, and Mo Lawal would be a threat.

There's 2 people I think would give him a little bit of a run at middle weight.

Love Both Machida and Anderson, but love Anderson's more vicious "ballad of violence" a little more.

The fight against Forrest was easily the most impressive performance so far this year -- pure decimation. Watch the head movement just before he knocks Forrest down the second time and tell me that sh!t's not straight out of the Matrix.

The casual, Sunday stroll jab he lands on Forrest as Forrest is straining every muscle in his ass to land a punch was epic. And the way he relaxedly walks towards forrest to finish him off before Forrest threw the mercy hand signal at Silva was something out of the movies.

I just hope Dana will fork out some good dough to coax A Silva/Machida fight. I want to see Anderson hold and defend two titles for his last few fights.

I really don't give Rashad much chance in hell after his ridiculous destruction by Lyoto. Silva fights in a similar manner to Machida and would pick him apart just like Machida did. Silva's compound punches to the mouth would put him down.

Rampage has a shot IMO, but not a very good one.

This reminds me of Wandy with the belt, and Shogun wasting everyone below him with no aspirations of challenging his friend for the title.

Style wise, if they use their wrestling and don't be stupid trying to strike with him, I'd give Rashad and Rampage a decent shot at beating AS.

I think Machida would beat Anderson.

Unfortunately, I don't think that the best LHW fighters are "complete" enough to compete on the same level as Spider. But I do believe that MMA is just like pro football, on any given day you could get served a loss. All it really takes is an off night and one punch or kick.

On that note here is my list:

1. Evans on any given day. I like Evans BUT he is not on the same level as Silva/Machida. But Evans will only get better.

2. Rampage on any given day. I like Rampage BUT I don't think that his overall MMA game has evolved to the point to where he could compete with Silva. Just look at his loss to Forrest. If Forrest can pick him apart...

3. Wandy Silva on any given day. Maybe the guy is just getting old. But if the Pride Wandy showed up (You know....that Axe Muderer) he could give Spider a run. But I can't see that happening.

4. Shogun on any given day. But he does not seem to be the same killer like he was in Pride. Maybe he is getting old.

Silva will more than likely go through the LHW class and force the inevitable fight with Machida to happen. This may be bad for the UFC because Silva will continue to make all of the current LHW greats look mediocre.

i said rampage had the best chance, but after thinking about it, he might get owned in the clinch ala wand silva....if spider catches him in the clinch, it could get very ugly for page.
