It was a pretty boring fight, and my guess is that's why. Don't get me wrong, I respect the hell out of GSP, but his take you down and ground and pound for five round style is pretty dull in the eyes of an uninformed viewer.

It takes a lot of guts to post this especially when there are so many GSP nut lickers around here. I commend you sir.

I love GSP but sometimes its just so hard to watch his fights. I wish he could 'finish' fights again.

It was long, it was boring, and it was domination. One of the most 1 sided fights I've seen in a while.

I hear ya man, I like GSP too... and in his defense, his inability to finish fights recently I don't think is a reflection on him as much as how tough the WW division is. But again, my point was to the casual fan tuning into Spike to "watch me some fights!", that would be a boring 25 minutes.

Lets face it, to most the Penn fight could have been seen as boring as all get out. I personally would love to watch that fight 50 more times just to watch BJ's fat head get ground into the mat, but that could just be me.

Its definetly not a big loss. it was possibly the most boring fight I've seen next to Serra/hughes. Granted they still should have shown it but o well wat can you do.

A splice highlight reel of the fight w/ a stoned Rogan commentating for 10 minutes?

Even if you think GSP-Alves was boring (I didn't), how can Coleman-Bonnar be considered more exciting?

It wasn't. But, it was only 3 rounds instead of 5. On top of that, it was a prelim so most people that bought the PPV didn't get to see it.

Let's be honest, GSP is no Anderson Silva in making an entertaining match. I love GSP but his style is not built for that highlight reel finish. He has never knocked anyone out (not including TKOs, which should be in a class of their own),and his last three fights have all ended anti-climatically.
