for the lazy people....

Quote:
Shane Carwin had been scheduled to take on AKA fighter Cain Velasquez in October at UFC 104. But the UFC has opted to change course. Velasquez is not hurt and his management, Zinkin Entertainment, has not heard any news regarding the bout being scratched.

Minnesota MMA confirmed our source by tweeting the news Wednesday night.

UFC 106 takes place November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas NV.

Here are other rumored matches for the event:

Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman

Jon Fitch vs. Ricardo Almeida

I will believe it when the source is more trusting.

If that is for real, what is Cain going to do? Shouldn't be writ off, might have beat Carwin for all we know without seeing it.

If it did end up being true, I would see Cain fighting Mir. If he fought the winner of Couture/Nog, he would be in for a long wait. It wouldn't make sense for him to fight Herring, since he beat Kongo after he subbed for Herring. It doesn't seem like this would make sense.

damn i hope its true. i'd love to see carwin lesnar. finally a competitor who approaches lesnar's size/strength and has some wrestling ability.

if lesnar wins, let velasquez be the next title contender... unless nog wins couture/nog.

Cain would have had no hope of beating Carwin.

I think Carwin should have a go at Lesnar, and number one contender should be Velasquez vs winner of couture/nog.

I really want to see Lesnar fight Nog, and round two with Couture, as Couture being one of the most intellegent fighters out there, he will have a solid game plan if he gets another go.
