I think that silva would own most of the ufc heavyweights. As stated before, he would be in trouble with guys like lesnar, carwin, and probably cain. Frank Mir is way to slow to keep up with Silva and would probably look just as bad as Forrest did. Kongo and any other heavyweight strikers would have the same problem. If you think that middleweights and lightheavyweights have a hard time hitting silva then how successful do you think that even bigger and slower guys will do?

I'd assume he would take time to put on like 15 pounds of muscle for the fight coming in around 230 (Mir is like 245-255) I don't think he can even make heavyweight right now. It would be weird seeing my favorite middleweight fight my favorite heavyweight. Andy has vastly superior striking and wrestling Mir has superior Jitz with a huge strength advantage to sink a sub in. This ends in the first via broken limb or smashed skull and I would love to see it. This has everything I want in a big fight personality, name value, both men having legitimate ways to win, and a storyline about Andy trying to become the greatest ever.

Maybe after his easy victory over Forrest, Silva convinced himself that he's a superman, but this is a big mistake. Lesnar will take a few shots in the face but eventually take Silva down where he's not much better than Mir (due to size difference), and those vicious punches will be all over Anderson's face, after that the Brazilian is going to lose.
Now, Fedor will be the best heavyweight no matter what. If Anderson somehow gets a chance to face him, he'll get stopped, Fedor is the best and I wouldn't be surprised if he knocked Silva out within the two rounds.

Favorite fighters:
1. Badr Hari
2. Remy Bonjasky
3. Mauricio Rua
4. Anderson Silva
5. Alistair Overeem

please everyone stop with the mir bjj master bullshit. he got his black belt in 5 years without even competing at a high level. it's a bullshit. he submits guys with no submission defense. silva's black belt is just as legit (or unlegit) as mir's, maybe even more so when you consider it's under the tutelage of big nog

someone said i was crazy for even posting a brock vs anderson thread, someone said it would never ...i'm not gonna name names though

I wasn't interested in seeing him destroy any more mw's or lhw's anyways, good move by silva.

he should finish out his contract fighting heavywieghts, fight roy jones(he will lose this fight badly, so hopefully that gets boxing out his system), then he'll go to strikeforce if they are still around and fight mousasi and fedor...then retire. (brock would be he's tuffest fight)

He did not get his Black Belt in 5 years. He started his BJJ training when he was 13 and didn't get his Black Belt until he broke Tim Sylvia's arm when he was like 24/25.

Also he has submitted Roberto Traven who was a high level Black Belt competitor.

I have a feeling if the fight goes to the ground, Mir will just lie on Anderson, to nod out a Unianimous Decision.

The Spider will just be giving up too much weight.

And to all of the people saying Silva will rip Mir appart... he won't.

And I'm not saying Mir will submit Silva, because he won't. Notice how Anderson isn't fighting Couture, even though Randy has expressed his interest in fighting him previously.

Anderson silva has never fought at heavy weight, the fact that he would have to gain that much weight would no doubt affect his game, he cant be as allusive with all that extra weight on him and if he was put up against the likes of lesnar he would in my opnion get destroyed, once that fat turd lesnar pins him down he will be helpless, the only chance he will have would be to start off fighting crappier heavyweights to get the jist of it and develop his game plan and then go for lesnar, BJ tried to go WW and the exact same thing happend
