Cheick Kongo=\/=Forrest Griffin. Forrest didn't have the ability to KO/TKO many people, Kongo does. He has been in many kickboxing bouts (40-50?) and is a way better striker than Forrest. He won't fold to a punch as easy as Forrest did.

A fight like this doesn't always have to end in a standing KO.
Whatever your "faith", with regards to A Silva, the fact that there's even debate about whether or not he can beat a HW (two weights above his weightclass) is testament enough about his status in MMA.

More people are talking about A Silva @ HW than Fedor @ HW.

To quote Kanye West's "stronger", "bow in the presence of greatness".

Off topic, but one thing def needs to happen: Fedor to the UFC.

One day hopefully.

Honestly, I don't see why people think that a fight between Fedor and Silva is so unreasonable, the two are naturally 10-15 pounds apart.

If Fedor puts his fighting ahead of his handlers' business interests, maybe this fight will someday happen.

Instead, likely we'll keep watching him perform against exhibition freaks for years before he eventually retires.

i dont see silva going to heavyweight, he is in it for titles. with 3 fighgts left on his contract and a spoken intention to leave UFC after the contract is up, it wouldnt make much sense to take on another division with a champ that silva would never be able to beat.

I give him his props, but this is not some amazing gift from god everything is ranting about. Wow he's not cutting any weight and fighting at a lower weight class...that is so Fedor.

You must've missed all the Youtube vids, threads, blogs, interviews, awards, TV coverage, and practically everything regarding Fedor then.

The first opponent should be Randy Couture if he beats Nogueira. If not, then Frank Mir.

To be honest...yes, I must've missed it all.

At most, it was average coverage considering that some four eyed breeds here actually believe that the chubby Russian is a product of immaculate conception.

Fedor is like a captain Kirk and a formidable legion of crack-voiced trekkies REALLY believe that he's the second coming. That's the raw nerve that Anderson Silva touches that triggers their online convulsions.

I like Silva's blasphemy against the temple of Fedor.

Shame on you.

Fedor has armbarred King Kong, God, and a Kodiak Bear.

I'd like to see A.Silva do that!

He he! For the next ten years, I'll flagellate myself each morning for the blasphemy of actually believing that Fedor was human.

I heard that Fedor once blew a kiss at a tornado and charmed it to a halt. I also heard that he lights his cigars with thunderbolts and surfs in Tsunamis.
