Couture vs big Nog some thing i dont get

Why so many people count out Nog vs Couture already

Big Nog 31 - 5 - 1 - Last 5 years Notable win-Tim Sylvia Heath Herring Josh Barnett Fabricio Werdum Sergei Kharitonov Mirko Filipovic,

Randy couture 16 - 9 last 5 years Notable Win- Gabriel Gonzaga Tim Sylvia Vitor Belfort.

Did Randy ever faced a Bjj figther of that quality No.Is stand up game (dirty boxing) is overated imo by many user here.

Im not saying Randy couture is a bad fighter but except a desperate lay n pray clay guida style win i dont see him winning.

sorry for my english

Randy Couture does not have a 'desperate lay n pray' style ......randy always pushes the pace and looks for the finish if possible.....

.....and clay guida is one of the most exiting and explosive fighters......

What the hell are you talking about????

Can you please also put Chuck Liddell, Pedro Rizzo x2, Tito Ortiz, Kevin Randleman, and Jeremy Horn on that list too?

I think you need to create a time machine to when PRIDE FC was alive and stay there.

Interesting first post.

Both of these guys have good boxing. I think Randy has a significant speed and wrestling advantage and while his submission game isn't that accomplished his submission defense is pretty solid. This is a pretty fair match up and I don't see Randy wanting to take this to the ground unless the stand up game is heavily favoring Nog. Randy will dictate where the fight takes place.

At least give the freaking guy the credit he's earned and put the rest of the names he has beaten that I posted a minute ago. Couture is a stud bro.

Why the last five years? Nog was in his prime back in 01-02 also.

5 years for simple reason. What it s important is what they did lately not what they did like 10 years ago.

Maybe I was too harsh earlier but one thing is for sure: Couture isn't going to lay and pray Nogueira he'll go for take downs and try to do excessive damage from the top and if they stand IMO it is 50/50.

Hopefully Nogueira is going to be in shape and no injuries this time around.

Randy's boxing is much better imo. He caught Tim Sylvia with some really good shots while Big Nog couldn't. I don't understand why some of you thinks think Randy is going to the ground with Big Nog.

Big Nog imho is the most dangerous HW on the ground. This is one of those fight I can't put money on cuz I see it at 50/50. If the Mir Nog show up, Randy is going to dominate. I couldn't understand why Nog was standing up with Mir and getting caught by the EXACT same combination over and over again. Beside that point, Nog is a fighter who takes ton of punishments and pull it off in the end if it goes to the ground.
