Jardine the champ?

does anyone ever see jardine being the champ of the LHW division? I think it is a possibility, but that he would be a weak champion with a short reign. i personally thought forrest and rashad were weak champs and im glad there is a legit guy on top now.

well if keith turns into a bulldozer he'll have a good chance of beating lyoto... if lyoto lost title i could see jardine with a title but a short reign

I highly doubt Jardine will ever become champion.

He's far too inconsistent to ever make a true run at the title.

The only way Jardine holds the belt is if he asks Lyoto nicely.

Jardine is good at everything but lacks the excellence in one discipline that all great champions posses. His striking is far to sloppy to hang with the likes of Lyoto, his wrestling isn't strong enough to deal with a Bader for example, and he has shown us no offensive jiu-jitsu ability.

Throw in a suspect chin and the inability to deal with a very aggressive opponent and I don't see a champion there. Solid gatekeeper at best.

He lost to Houston Alexander.

That should tell you something.

sure

yeah i agree with that, its too bad b/c i am a big fan of his style but i dont see him taking the step to the next level. i would be very interested to see lyoto fight hendo or rampage. i think rampage will wax evans.

jardine isn't a horrible fighter but he's not good enough to be champ.

No chance. He's a good fighter, not a great one, and he's in a strong division. he has about the same chance of winning the belt as Forrest does again. Anyone winning the belt has to go through one or both of Silva and Machida. Jardine couldn't do either on the best day of his life.

That mission exceeds Jardine's skills and ability level. Right now there's no one better than Machida at lhw with arguable exception of Anderson Silva.

Favorite fighters:
1. Badr Hari
2. Remy Bonjasky
3. Mauricio Rua
4. Anderson Silva
5. Alistair Overeem
