I would be willing to a Sig bet that Shogun does not make it out of round 2 with Lyoto. I've never been more sure of an outcome in my life.

This fight has the potential of being the greatest fight of all time, but that's only if Shogun is back in his pride form, which he might be. Stylistically this fight is perfect.

Shogun is extremely accurate and powerful. He doesn't mind flashing a couple jabs with no intention on them hitting just to get the thai clinch, which is almost as brutal as Anderson's. Not to mention he's insanely slippery. Also, Shogun has a natural flow in the ring, something that I have never seen any other fighter have. The ability to be so calm that he looks really slow, even while striking at times, and yet he still is faster then his opponents and is very elusive.

Shogun has the skillset and potential to beat him, maybe even KO him. My money is still on Machida but I wouldn't be surprised if Pride Shogun comes back and gets the win.

Thanks..yeah thats basically what i meant. I'll admit that i'm not hardcore as some because I dont know every tidbit about a fighter but i'm not a newb either. If i see an upcoming match with a fighter thats new to me i usually google him, check his wiki, then browse around for videos of his old fights.

I"m not hating on Machida but any guy that couldnt finish sam hoger or vernon white wasn't really hitting on my radar . I know the "hardcore" guys say "he was never boring to want to se a brawl go watch a street fight". But even dana white knows he was boriing and the typical mma fan that buys the PPV didnt want to see him fight for the belt. If rampage jaw wasn't injured, he wouldve fought at ufc 98 and machida fans would still be upset about unfair it is.
Fighters evolve and dissolve but I think its funny (i could be wrong) that people make sig bets that a guy who has won half his fights by decision will stop a guy who has never been knocked out. And yea I know he did it to rashad/thiago but read my previous post.
