When was the last time Nogueira outstruck an opponent?

Hey guys,

I've been suprised to read some (though far from all) people giving Big Nog a striking advantage heading into his fight against Couture. I've long heard about his boxing skills, but honestly can't remember the last time I've really been impressed with them.

This isn't supposed to be a 'provocative' post, but I know there's a lot of fans on here with better knowledge (and memories!) than me when it comes to MMA, so I'm just wondering how long it's been since Big Nog actually got the better of his opponent in the striking?

Will be interested to hear your responses - it may well be a much shorter time ago than I imagine.

Thanks,
Jon

Heath Herring the third time. Even though he was dropped and almost finished, he basically outstruck Heath and controlled him for the rest of the fight for the decision win.

Heath Herring. He dominated Heath on the feat every minute of that fight, minus the one kick to the head.

Yeah Herring, Nog's more known for his excellent Jiu Jitsu though, but that said he's still got some great striking too!

Cool thanks guys - I thought it might be the Herring fight but couldn't remember it too well (except for almost getting his head kicked off if I remember right).

Cheers,
Jon
