When Randy did clinch Nog did a great job neutralizing. Also, Nog wasn't scared to drop to the ground if needed. Randy didn't try to often to clinch and dirty box but when he did it wasn't overly effective.

This fight has made me re-evaluate the Mir fight and although i do believe Mirs striking has improved vastly.......
I think they need to fight again to bring legitimacy to his win the first time.....Nog looked like a withered old man when he fought Mir...

Yeah I agree, Randy wasn't that effective in the clinch, but then he didn't attempt it enough IMO. I think it could have had a cumulative affect the more he tried it. If you way up their respective skills, to me Randy comes up a little short. He needed to turn it in to a battle of wills/cardio to have the best chance of winning.
I do have to give props to Big Nog though, he fought an excellent fight.
As for the Mir fight, that absolutely, positively has to happen again! I don't think there's any question that Nog's health problems adversely affected his performance.
