Will the UFC cut some of the 102 fighters?

I think they are going to hold off on cutting fighters that are marketable, some of these guys have lost a lot of marketability in the UFC but would be big draws in strikeforce and I just dont think Dana will add fuel to that fire. Some of them have been publicly on the chopping block before but I think times have changed.

Chris Leben
Josh Neer
Tamden McCrory
Kendall Grove
Stephan Bonnar
Keith Jardine
Justin McCully
Ed Herman

All have some issues but all are quality fighters and IMO would give a lot of steam to another promotion if they got that axe, so do you think SF will influence the UFC to keep them?

I said it before the fight that if Leben loses I hope he gets cut. I just think Strikeforce would be a better fit for him.

I dont think they will get rid of Jardine yet. Maybe if he has another bad loss in his next fight but not yet.

I think McCully will go and maybe Catone. I'm not sure how many fights Tuchscherer was contracted to do. Oh and Marcus Aurelio blew his chance for redemption.

It would be a bit cruel to cut Herman off the back of a bad injury. Maybe they will give him a return fight next year and then go from there? But then again I think even without the injury he would have got stopped in the second round.

He wasn't fighting at 102 but I dont see the UFC giving more then one more fight. Obviously the company is massively grateful but he just isn't relevant anymore IMO, and holds little marketing value.

release jardine?
that's a big NO!
ok. he lost his last 2 fights. against jackson he lost the fight in the last 10 seconds. against silva he lost the fight in the first 90 seconds.
he is ever improving. i think he needs to think more in his fights. it's amazing how he mixes his fights: lidell, griffin or silva, jackson, alexander.
it's like we have 2 jardines.

herman No. give him at least one more fight to show he belongs in the ufc.

leben can be cut in my opinion. he doesn't bring anything new to the game and his division is to much for him to handle. bring on new talent. a swap with shields sounds nice.

.

I can't see anyone getting cut after ufc 102. Leben is a popular star from TUF 1, and most all other fights had either first losses, or a great show of heart.

It would be terrible if either Hague or Tuscherer got cut. Tim is a good fighter and beat the odds with Barry (who saw that coming?) and Tuscherer... well let's just say, not many people take shots to the boys like that and get back into it. He's got balls (some pun intended) and deserves another shot. Anyone but Kongo. Save the kids!

If the UFC want to promote MMA as a sport that actually requires a degree of skill, then Leben has to get cut or at the very least go on the undercard.

A few fighters always get cut. Jardine is going to stay around. Leben maybe not so much.

Leben the guy is coming off an embarrassing steroid scandal and quite frankly am I the only guy who thinks Leben is getting worse? It seems like he just runs around looking lost trying to throw that one big punch. Seriously he is getting horrible.

I don't see Jardine fighting anyone else..

He's lost three out of his last four..

He's not going to be drawing any big fights..
