Freddie Roach: Tito Ortiz has no Quit, Praises Anderson Silva
AT 11:00 minutes in he gets asked about the MMA guys he is working with, Roach also said he is learning more about MMA striking and adjusting the boxing like no ducking under cause you can get knee in the face lol.
But he praises tito ortiz and said tito is learning boxing not to be a boxer but to use it for MMA. He says Mousassi needs to understand distance more, At the end he praises Anderson Silva with a big grin on his face said Anderson silva only goes 40 percent in the gym and toys with guys and said in the fight with forrest he knows distance well which many MMA fighters have no clue on is distance, said it was beautiful to watch.
Machida, chuck liddell when he was a counter puncher in his prime and silva are the best at keeping a safe distance, this is why they are so dominant on the feet.
I have more faith now that Anderson Silva can KO Jones jr after hearing what roach said especially after seeing the sparring video of anderson toying with the pro boxer, while the pro was going hard and anderson was only at 40 percent.

Even with the praise from Roach. I think Jones will beat him, but not easily. Anderson will make it competitive, theres just one problem even if Anderson is great at keeping distance. Jones has been doing this his whole life. Every time MMA fighters were training, they focused on Take downs, ground games, kicks, knees and clich etc. Boxers focused on boxing only and are perfecting the game.
That said Jones isn't as good as he used to be.
Is it just me or does anyone else find these percentages of how hard a fighter is trying, a bit pointless. Like there is no real way to tell? Especially measuring something with as many different attirbutes and variables as a contact sport. Like seriously, oh that punch was only 66.666666r% of what he's capable of?!
We get it, he wasn't working his ass of in sparring. We sort of all noticed that from the video Mr.Roach.
I probably was being sarcastic in the above post. I think you should flame me for it.
