As much crap as I'll get for this I'm saying it anyways. Kurt Angle is the best pure wrestler ever in MMA if he does fight. In his collegiate days he had multiple victories over Randy Couture, and atleast 1 I know over Mark Coleman. I always hated him doing the WWE thing. I always believed if he would've jumped into MMA completely as did Couture and Coleman, he could've easily been even more dominate than them. He is a much larger guy than both of them. In wrestling his skills are unmatched by anybody in MMA ever. I know MMA is much more than wrestling, but when Couture and Coleman began fighting, the really didnt fight, they wrestled and punched people. Over time they evolved into two of the greatest MMA fighters ever, if not the two greatest U.S. MMA fighters ever. As hard as Angle trains I honestly feel he would've been better than both, still competing at a high-level today. Let the shit fly I'm ready.......

Angle has potential for sure. but something has always bugged me that any guy in the WWE and that shit, they all look like they are on roids. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. There are so many things going on, rumoured to go on, its going to be an exctiging 2007 in my books.

Maybe I didn't make it clear. I was speaking hypothetically. What i was saying was that if he didnt ever do the WWE and if MMA was his job immediately out of the Olympics. A lot of people back then were 1-dimensional and evolved. I have no doubt he would have also. Plus, you cannot deny his strength, especially his lower body.

I'm shocked...He just signed a deal with TNA back in Sept. so I have to wonder if this really is real. I can't see the people in TNA being very happy about it considering he could get really hurt. If it is...will it just be a publicity stunt?

I have always wanted Kurt Angle to do MMA. People will say,"but can he handle stand-up or submissions?!". The answer is yes. He won an olympic gold medal with a BROKEN NECK. His work ethic is top-notch and I believe he will adapt to MMA quite quickly.

Yah Angle going to WWE kinda ruined his chances for being dominant in MMA. He is getting kind of old and I dont think he is going to have enough time to make a career out of this but it made sense for him to go to WWE back then because there wasnt that much money in MMA back then compared to wrestling.

i would love to see the Kerr who won those NHB tournaments in Brazil vs Angle right off of his Olympic win... Kerr is one of the best wrestlers ever, and Kerr was by far the most brutal NHB fighter i've ever seen!!!

god, what a fight...
