I bet if Ortiz faced Evans today that fight would be different, if he fought Rampage he would get KTFO and Shogun would probably beat him down too. Chuck has fought the best and there's no shame in falling off the top to today's top fighters. His record is far more impressive than Tito's and he has a far better highlight reel, he was just a better fighter when it mattered and Ortiz is still bitter.
It's easy to insult Chuck now, when Chuck was at his best Ortiz didn't even want to fight him and when he did he got made to look like an amateur. Such cheap shit as usual from Ortiz.

I agree about the legacy. When Tito was at his height, he was pretty popular, but when Chuck was at his height, he was the official name, face & icon of American MMA during his reign (until Randy blew up like a volcano).

I for one am curious as to the validity of Tito's Back Problem claims. If he really did as well as he did before, and had a serious back injury, I want to see what he can do now that he is 100%.
Or, is he just making sh*t up for hype purposes? Only time can tell.

I'm suspicious of that claim as well. Especially if the back problem was allegedly apparent for the spam of both fights. The only back problems that last that long are slip discs and if he had a slip disc, he "COULDN'T" have been able to fight, because the sciatica would have kept him from moving beyond a slow walk pace. I had a slip disc at L2 and the severity of the sciatica prevented me from being able to bend over & reach far enough to put on socks.
Muscle strains of the back, if it were a thoracic or spinae erector strain, would have healed within 1 month, 2 if it was that bad and back "muscle tears," are so far unheard of to myself. You'd have to work pretty hard to tear a back muscle.
However, The commission wouldn't have cleared him to fight if his back injury was at that detrimental extent.

Despite his not being very articulate, he's pretty good at cranking up the hype machine.
Maybe it's because Dana is his bitch.

He has always talked about his back, but my issue with it is before every fight he would say "I know I will win, my back hasn't felt this great in years," just for him to say his back was in fact still giving him problems (which is it Tito?) In his interviews before Liddell Ortiz II he would say how his back was a problem for him in their first fight, but now his back is great, just to have him say he had back problems even until his fight with Machida.

It sure doesn't take long for me to start hating Tito again. He's STILL making excuses for the two losses to Chuck which happened several years ago.
I'm not buying any of this "I'm a different fighter" crap. He will never ever be a champion in the UFC again and will have a mediocre return.

His bad back was responsible for Chuck pounding him senseless twice. Gotta love Tito. He is entertaining.

Haha, I honestly think that Tito is just having a laugh at this stage and seeing how many people he can piss off.

Yeah, but Chuck was right. Tito isn't in the mix at 205 at all right now. He needs to re-establish himself. Nothing disrespectful about that.
You know, I thought for a while there we might see a more respectful Tito Ortiz, that he'd cut the rhetoric and let his fighting do the talking for a change, but it was not to be.
He's obviously still the same jackass he always was, cut from the same any-publicity-is-good-publicity cloth that has given us hellspawn such as Paris Hilton and Spencer Pratt, who stay famous by doing stupid shit instead of contributing something to society.
Seriously, how are people not sick of him yet?

Talk about taken out of context. Yes Tito is a tard, but he was responding to the not so kind words Liddell had about him. It's not like he he said it outright without provocation...but then again he probably would have even if Liddell didn't say what he said lol.
