Ortiz: Hopefully Chuck can dance better than he can fight

In an EXCLUSIVE interview conducted by MMABay “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz has launched a scathing attack on long time rival, Chuck Liddell, saying “The Iceman’s” career is over and that he hopes he can dance better than he fights.

When asked about the recent comments Liddell made about Ortiz needing a win or two under his belt to make him relevant enough to face again inside the octagon, Ortiz said:

“That’s kinda funny. I think he needs to get a couple of wins under his belt also. I think he’s been knocked out four of his last five fights. I’ve never been knocked out unconscious in any of my fights in my whole career in the last thirteen years so for him to say those words is like calling the kettle black. It is what it is, Chuck Liddell’s career’s done, he going to “Dancing With The Stars” and hopefully he can dance better than he can fight.”

When asked whether that is a fight we would like to see happen in the future and if we’d see a different result this time around, Ortiz said:

“Love to do it, love to do it. Anytime would be awesome. I’m a totally different fighter. People have to understand I had back problems when me and Chuck Liddell fought the two times and now that my back don’t hurt and I have no problems at all it would be a totally different fight, different aggressiveness and just a different fight all around.”

Ortiz will return to the octagon after over a year away at UFC 106 on November 21st in Las Vegas, Nevada when he squares off with former UFC heavyweight champion, Mark “The Hammer” Coleman.

can't wait to see the UFC Countdown for ortiz/coleman, should hear some hilarious shit from tito.

''You probably thought this was a bright idea, who hit the light switch? Hype shift, this is where it looks like the fight's fixed, tight fist, beat you with the hand that I write with, punchlines that remind Rodney King of the night sticks...''

Why does Coleman get these chances. Every UFC fight I see him in loses. Tito is a bitch. Chuck would own his ass any day.

At first I thought, "who the hell is Tito to call out Chuck on his fighting skills, when Chuck whooped his ass twice."

Then I read and saw that Tito was simply responding to Chuck's comments.

I for one am curious as to the validity of Tito's Back Problem claims. If he really did as well as he did before, and had a serious back injury, I want to see what he can do now that he is 100%.

Or, is he just making sh*t up for hype purposes? Only time can tell.

Its funny how Tito can talk like he is the better fighter, I think he is forgetting Chuck beat him down twice. I do think Chuck is done but he has more of a legacy than Ortiz is ever likely to have no matter how much better his back is. MMA has evolved, fighters like Ortiz just haven't got what it takes unless his sessions with Freddie Roach suddenly make him a threat on the feet to anyone other than Ken Shamrock.

I bet if Ortiz faced Evans today that fight would be different, if he fought Rampage he would get KTFO and Shogun would probably beat him down too. Chuck has fought the best and there's no shame in falling off the top to today's top fighters. His record is far more impressive than Tito's and he has a far better highlight reel, he was just a better fighter when it mattered and Ortiz is still bitter.

It's easy to insult Chuck now, when Chuck was at his best Ortiz didn't even want to fight him and when he did he got made to look like an amateur. Such cheap shit as usual from Ortiz.

He just beat Stephen Bonnar, and prior to that he almost beat Shogun Rua, who he DID beat in 2006.

He's 16-9 so he does win more than he loses.

I'd give my left nut to see him beat Tito

Ortiz is shameless, calling out a retiring fighter who'd molested him twice over. It's a damn shame I'm actually a pseudo-fan of his
