Before my original post, wow really 2 judges had kenny ahead on the cards? Because in the fight I saw kenny was getting handled and i gave em no rounds til bj stopped him.

I think kenny was much more dangerous for bj than diego, kenny is the better striker, better grappler and better on the ground. Diego has better wrestling and might be a little stronger, if diego can't get him down I plan to see diego finished for the first time.

I suppose what I'm saying is that although I believe BJ will have an advantage in striking against Diego, Diego has been putting forth a lot of effort into developing his own striking, and now that he's aware what sort of opponent he's up against, we'll certainly see a hard-working fighter like Diego come in with more crisp striking than people are expecting. Again, I believe Penn will most likely rock Diego, and end up finishing him on the ground with either a submission or some GnP, but I think we'll see a heavily improved Diego come fight night.
I know Diego will come in with a waay better gameplan than Florian did. I love to watch the nightmare fight, hes a gamer and hes good, i just think BJ is better, and I think the fight will playout just as you said.

I think Diego is more of a threat on the ground due to his wrestling but nothing that will be too much of a problem for BJ. Kenny didn't really bring that to the table, what he is good at BJ was too and much more.

That said, Diego's wrestling and possible strength advantage over Kenny will not be enough imo. He didn't impress me that much against Stevenson, not to the point where I'd think he would beat BJ and Guida gave him a tough fight. BJ will give him a much much tougher fight than both of them, and that is where this big strong Diego image breaks down in my head. I think BJ has better striking, faster on the feet and is more dangerous on the ground.

I love BJ to the death. He's my favorite figher so i'll root for him win or lose.

I honestly think he'll give Diego his first KO ever. Sure Diego might have the better offensive wrestling and kicks but I don't think it'll be much different than BJ's last fight.

You just know what happens when you pick someone publicly and you don't want to curse BJ, admit it.

In all seriousness, I think you are right and for the same reasons. I still expect BJ to win but I think it will be a tough fight and Diego is still going to be standing at the end of the 5th round. BJ by UD.

IMO, Maynard is Penns toughest fight at LW right now just by virtue of his rediculous wrestling, conditioning and slightly underrated hands. I think Mayndard can beat Diego.

That being said, I don't think Maynard can beat Penn until he learns some decent kicks and revamps his BJJ game.

Meh, Diego doesn't have the wrestling needed to beat Bj IMO. I think Bj will end up taking Diego down and owning him on the ground. I think someone like Frankie Edgar is the toughest match up for Bj...

How about someone like grey maynard, a bigger/stronger guy with probably the best wrestling in the division?

Maynard would be a tough fight for him too, but I think Edgar has better submission defense than Maynard.
