After Seeing Diego & The DIESEL Side By Side

It's been said before...size and muscle don't pre-determine the outcome of a fight, but DAMN look how much bigger Riggsy is than Diego! Riggs looks way bigger / stronger and he seemed extra pumped...Let's all pray for Riggs to land that flush shot.

Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez

vs.

Joe "DIESEL" Riggs

You would think The Diesel would be able to control the fight just based off leverage and sheer power (like cabbs & I discussed before), while it may help a lot - it just doesn't equate to definite wins.

And THAT my friends...is why we settle things in the octagon!

Thoughts?

I chock those pictures up to bad and good lighting.

That and Riggs has to cut a lot of extra weight to make the WW class. His body fat drops way down there.

How about this picture

and this one.

and this

Edit: Found another one of Diego Calling forth the God of Thunder.

I know...different times...oh well...just messing around.

Besides though...Nothing can compair to the muscle that is Joe Riggs's head. I mean look at the thing! It's Huge!

I think all that muscle on Joe just kills his stamina, where as Diego can go at 150MPH for an entire fight. Is it me or does it seem that Joe Riggs has lost most of his fights due to some kind of "oops" on his part ?! I think their styles match up well, if either of them makes a mistake it will be over. As much as I would like to see Joe Riggs win, I would much rather see Diego fight either Hughes or St. Pierre.

I thinks it's just that Diego rides on pure craziness. Half the time I think he doesn't even know that he's hurt/tired/weird...because he's so pumped.

Yeah, I thought he looked pretty tired during that final round against Parisyan, but he just kept coming. He is like that damn Energizer bunny, he just keeps going and going and going ...

i've always thought that if joe riggs is 100 percent then he's going to be a very dangerous fighter extremely strong with great hands but there's something about diego that just makes me think he's going to win, the guy fights at 100 percent the whole fight he's got great cardio his fight against diaz was awesome, i still say sanchez will win probably by decision

I'm picking Diego to win.

However, judging by his looks(I'm going to play the old "Frank Mir has abs! He's ready to fight!" card), Riggs looks like he's ready to fight a long, tough battle. Riggs' neck is pretty scary in that picture.

The thing about Diego, is that he just does not stop. He went at Nick Diaz full force for 3 full rounds. He's a cardio freak, and that's his ace in this fight.

I can't wait for tonight. I'm finally done with finals at 5:30 PM. Not only am I done with school, but I get to see Karo throw Fickett around.
