Jackson Evans Fight Postponed

Hope it's not a repost, but I didn't see anything yet.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s big break has broken up a headlining bout against Rashad Evans at UFC 107.

Jackson and Evans, rival coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter 10” debuting Sept. 16 on Spike TV, will no longer face off in a culminating bout on Dec. 12 in Memphis, Tenn., where Jackson hails from.

Evans was notified Saturday that his headlining light heavyweight bout with Jackson will be postponed until early 2010, as Jackson begins shooting a lead role in the feature film remake of “The A-Team” in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 31-year-old Jackson will reprise the role of “B.A. Baracus,” made famous by iconic personality Mr. T in the 1980s.
Such a bummer. If acting is so important than stop fighting. In no way should a movie role change a headliner fight. I was really looking forward to this.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

I hope Rashad takes another fight. Maybe a Forrest rematch. Rampage wants the money that comes with the belt, not the belt itself.

This will be the 2nd fight in a row that Rampage has backed out of. The first being against Machida due to injury. Was realy looking forward to this fight what a bummer.

I think this has been discussed prior to being made official, but it's a big topic nonetheless. Rampage is doing what he thinks is best - making his money and not fighting with a busted jaw. Can't say I blame him. If I was a fighter and had a chance to make good money doing something else I would likely take that opportunity for self-preservation reasons.

It does suck that it will be postponed, but it's not like these guys aren't going to fight. I hope it doesn't take as long as Serra vs. Hughes though. + Rampage as B.A.= priceless.
