New to UFC

Ok, I'm new to UFC and new to the forums. I would like some recommendations on fights/DVD's that are worth purchasing. If it helps, I like the more submission based fighters. Thanks for all the help and recommendations.

There was this guy named Royce Groocie or Gracie or something like that....I've heard he was pretty good.

Start with UFC 40: Vendetta if you can find it. There's enough KO's to satisfy anyone, and there's hardly a dull moment.

UFC 47 is another really strong show. You have great fights like Diaz vs Lawler, Cabbage vs Arlovski, & Franca vs Edwards.

UFC 49 is a strong show as well, and my personal favorite UFC show. White vs Liddell never gets old. Belfort bleeds like it's his last day on earth. Karo & Diaz have a really good grappling match. Edwards vs Thomson features the coolest KO ever.

The early shows are hard to find, but I'd recommend UFC 22 for Tito Ortiz vs Frank Shamrock. I'd search video stores for it, and the 'net. Tito Ortiz vs Frank Shamrock is my all time favorite fight, and a true chess match. The grappling, drama, and pace are all perfect.

Haven't really seen any great submissions lately. More big knockouts. Anything that Chuck is in ends in a minute or two. So there not worth buying. I would recomend UFC 58 or 63 both had some really good fights. But i would just go to dailymotion.com and type in a fighter and most of their good fights pop up.

UFC 52 is another really great show. You'd like Doerksen vs Cote & Miller vs GSP. Both fights are more ground based, and just really fun. Doerksen vs Cote especially.

UFC 54 has Arsdale vs Couture, which is a really underrated fight that features 2 guys in their 40's fighting like they're in their 20's.

watch as many of the live shows as you can, i find them much better than the dvd's. If your in US of the A, maybe invite a few friends round and have a few beers etc and make a night of it.

Also there is bittorent to download some of the older shows, if you cant buy them, im sure they may be out to download...
