Still makes me laugh when I watch the GSP vs. Jason Miller fight. I respect Rogan a lot, but that was a stupid thing to say. Makes me wonder how much bias there is in what he says sometimes... GSP was a newcomer, I give him that.
Also loved how GSP kicked him in the face as he was getting up. Priceless!
I think he meant in submissions and wasnt thinking about what a beast GSP is and how insane his control from the top is. That was back when Joe was still green at jitz and thought it was the most amazing thing on the planet, now his big thing is striking "in the pocket" he says that constantly

Speaking of which, (and don't get me wrong, I'm from Montreal and he's the MAN), but I would very much like if GSP could finish more fights while he's on top. I agree that he's beast, but I don't get why he's not as accurate while in someone's guard, heck even full mount at times.
I see myself yelling "FINISH HIM!!!!" all the time, and it just seems like he runs out of gas and switches to "softening punches".
But hey, can't be perfect right?

That was actually one of the first fights I saw of both Miller and GSP. Even though it was fairly one sided still very entertaining. Loved the way Miller escaped outta the arm bar by clasping his hands together then bam...reversed it. But yah after that fight knew GSP had raw talent!
I can understand where he was coming from when making a statement like that... It wasn't until after GSP lost to Serra that he really started working on his ground game to get it where it is today. But when they fought compare style to style Miller's ground game would've been that much better the GSP's at the time.
Also Mayhem is one of my favorite fighters, can't wait to see him fight over in Dream again.
