This week kind of flew by. Weíre into the routine of training here in Vegas.

It was a good choice for me to come here because youíre training with different people every day so youíre not familiar with their moves and what they do. So youíre not in your comfort zone, knowing what theyíre going to do before they do it, and likewise they know what youíre going to do.

Iíve been working with a strength and conditioning coach at Xtreme Couture named Jake. It worked out in our favour because a lot of the guys at Couture were away fighting, so he was able to put in some time with us that he might not have otherwise.

Speaking of guys away fighting, the fights in Oklahoma City Wednesday night were good, really good. We were able to watch the fights last night at the gym.

I did an interview at 3:30 p.m. for HDNet and it was then that I found out the news about Sam Stoutís fight. I couldnít imagine walking to the ring and finding out as youíre walking that youíre fightís been cancelled because youíre opponent just had a seizure.

I hope Phillipe Nover is okay, but Iíll be surprised if ever fights again. Iíve been told itís the second time thatís happened.

After that we watched the fights. The Quarry-Credeur fight was not the most technical, but extremely entertaining. I can only imagine how terrible they feel today. Quarry hasnít really changed much. That was the same Quarry I prepared to fight. Credeur was doing a pretty good job keeping a distance, but he couldnít find a defence for that right hand of Quarryís, which seems to be Quarryís only weapon.

That fight was followed up by an equally as entertaining fight between Carlos Condit and Jake Ellenberger. Carlos got absolutely owned in the first round, and showed resilience in the second and third and ended up winning. He may have been the king of the WEC, but Iím not too sure how well heís going to do in the 170 pound division in the UFC. Thereís some tremendous guys that I donít think he stands a chance against. Guys like Thiago Alves, Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck.

And then this Saturday weíve got UFC 103 in Dallas. Iíll give you my picks for the televised portion and pay-per-view.

Rich Franklin vs. Vitor Belfort

This is definitely a more interesting matchup for me than Henderson. That ship has already sailed. My initial thought was that Belfort might beat Rich. But watching Belfort in his last week of training, he didnít look like the same Vitor weíve seen in the past. So Iíve changed my opinion. I think Franklin will win. Even though Iíve said heís in the back portion of his career, heís put a lot of effort in his past couple fights to get better. So I think heíll take this one, maybe by TKO.

Mirko Cro Cop vs. Junior Dos Santos

Iím just not sure Cro Cop has much to offer. I have no interest in watching Mirko Cro Cop fight. But he seems to think heís rededicated. Iím just not sure. He jumps from fighting in Japan to UFC, to Japan to UFC. Iím just not sure what he wants, whether he really wants to become champion of the UFC or he wants to fight just to fight. People want to beat him just for the reputation he has in the past. So Dos Santos I think will go out there really motivated to take him out. Iím going with Junior.

Martin Kampmann vs. Paul Daley

Daley was stepping in on short notice but he was preparing for a fight anyway. Daley is explosive and hard to take down, but Kampmann will be well prepared training with all the great wrestlers at Coutureís to go out and put him on this back.

Also, with Xtreme Couture teammate John Alessio having fought Daley recently (and Shawn Tompkins being in Alessioís corner for that fight) they know what Daley brings to the table. They should have Martin well prepared. I like him in this one.

Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg

I just think that Koscheck poses a lot of problems for Trigg. I think heís a very similar fighter only much younger. Koscheck is been in there with some high-level guys in his past few fights. I think heíll be able to take him down and give him problems standing up. I think heíll give him problems in every area. Iíve got Koscheck beating Trigg.

Tyson Griffin vs. Hermes Franca

I think this is going to be exciting. Hermes always comes out there throwing bombs. And we know Tyson is willing to stand there and trade with everybody.

Weíve seen Tyson is extremely hard to submit. Iíve seen that first-hand last week when I did some rounds with him. Iím much bigger and stronger so I was able to take him down fairly easily, but I found it hard to submit him. I say Tyson will grind out another decision.

Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller

I really like Efrain, heís a young up and comer. But Cole has been on a heck of a run. Heís been getting better and better, and is extremely confident. Heís too experienced for Efrain at this point in his career.

Drew McFedries vs. Thomas Drwal

I always seem to write McFedries off, like against Professor X, but heís shown he has dynamite in his hands and can end the fight with one punch. Just put him on his back and heís useless. Will Drwal stand and trade or put him on his back? Thatís the key. If Drwal, who has won two by KO, keeps it standing heíll get knocked out. But if he goes to the ground heíll win.

I agree with every pick that MacDonald made other than the Belfort/Franklin fight. Obviously the Belfort now is not going to be anywhere near as fast as he once was. Age has caught up to him but his power is still there..

And i'm still pulling for Mirko Cro Cop
