Round 1 - With the start time of the event moved up 70 minutes from the times printed on the tickets, the arena's crowd is still a bit sparse, though fans are quickly filing to their seats. Referee Kerry Hatley oversees the action. A touch of gloves gets the evening's first bout underway. Emerson opens with a jab, but both fighters searching for openings. Dos Anjos snaps a leg kick. Emerson scores with a right in an exchange. Dos Anjos connects as well, then shoots in. Emerson sprawls and circles away. Emerson aggressive with punches, though Dos Anjos moving away well. Dos Anjos scores with another low kick. Dos Anjos scores with a 1-2, then a left. Two minutes in. Emerson fires a few straight rights, but Dos Anjos is there to answer. Dos Anjos with another low kick, and a second. Emerson goes high with a kick, though Dos Anjos answers. Both checked. Dos Anjos sneaks in a left hand. Two minutes remain. Dos Anjos shoots low, but Emerson scampers away. Both fighters firing punches in spurts. Dos Anjos connects with a left. Emerson kicks low, then follows with a combo. Dos Anjos shoots in behind a flurry, but Emerson again shucks him off. A fourth takedown attempt by Dos Anjos pushes Emerson to the cage, but he sprawls well. Dos Anjos scoops a leg, finally earning the takedown. Dos Anjos looks to posture and strike as time expires. Close round, but the takedown at the end earned the round for Dos Anjos on the MMAjunkie.com card, 10-9.

Round 2 - Bit of hands from Emerson t open, while Dos Anjos answering with kicks. Dos Anjos scores with his hands, then back to the low kick. Dos Anjos lands a left uppercut, but Emerson answers with a right. Emerson scores three straight right hands, popping Dos Anjos's head back Dos Anjos lands a kick, Emerson answers then defends a takedown attempt. Dos Anjos lands a combo, but Emerson's hands beginning to find range more frequently. Low kick from Dos Anjos, followed with a left hand. Dos Anjos shoots in, and it appears deep, but Emerson defends well and wrestles free. Halfway through the frame. Dos Anjos circling right. Emerson working his jab. Dos Anjos shoots again, but Emerson shucks him off. Dos Anjos slips on a missed strike. Dos Anjos still working the low kicks, but Emerson answers. Dos Anjos wobbles Emerson with another low kick. Less than a minute, and Dos Anjos pushes Emerson to the cage. Another solid round, but MMAjunkie.com sees it for Emerson, 10-9, based on the more effective hands throughout most of the round.

Round 3 - A touch of gloves to open the final round. Emerson leads with a jab, though Dos Anjos answers. A low kick again wobbles Emerson. Dos Anjos shoots in. EMerson defends well, but a second effort wrestles him to the floor. Dos Anjos pressures as Emerson tries to move away, and he nearly gets back position. Dos Anjos looks for the choke, but he doesn't have the angle. He pushes to half-mount, though Emerson gains full guard. Two minutes in, and Emerson looking to move away, but he can't find the room. Dos Anjos postures and lands a few shots, punches and elbows. Emerson now works full guard, then switches to butterfly as Dos Anjos passes out to half-mount. Dos Anjos moves to side control, though Emerson pops up quickly in a transition. Dos Anjos keeps a body lock on the feet and pushes Emerson to the cage. Little more than a minute, and Dos Anjos pushes away. Emerson tries to throw a few tired straights, but Dos Anjos pops him in the leg again and Emerson buckles. Emerson throwing punches courageously, but Dos Anjos works the leg again. Emerson hears the 10-second warning and pushes forward, but he's dropped the round, 10-9, and the fight, 29-28, on the MMAjunkie.com scorecard. Rafael Dos Anjos def. IGOR POKRAJAC VS. VLADIMIR MATYUSHENKO

Round 1 - Referee Leon Roberts gets the action underway. Pokrajac takes the center of the cage. Matyushenko snaps a jab but eats a right hand and wobbles briefly. Matyushenko regains his composure and closes the distance, though Pokrajac briefly ties him up. Pokrajac lands a snapping leg kick, though Matyushenko answers with a big right hand. Methodical pac. Pokrajac fighting close to the cage while moving laterally. Matyushenko landign jabs at will. Two minutes in. More jabs from Matyushenko. Silent arena as the two work with an average pace, looking to counterstrike. Boos come from the audience. Pokrajac lands a stiff left that wobbles Matyushenko. He follows with another, but Matyushenko ducks under and scores a takedown. Pokrajac works a closed guard, though he releases and Matyushenko stands. Pokrajac kicks to the knees as Matyushenko tries to move past the guard. He eventually settles for falling into it, though he stands again. With 30 seconds left, Matyushenko does fall into side control, then quickly to mount. Pokrajac rolls and stands, elevating Matyushenko on his back. Pokrajac lands in top position as time expires, but Matyushenko has earned the round on the MMAjunkie.com cards, 10-9.

Round 2 - Pokrajac leads with a Superman punch. Moderate, to be nice, pace again. Couple of jabs by both fighters. Matyushenko lands a nice left hand, then follows with a low kick. Matyushenko hands sneaking in a bit with a 1-2. Pokrajac seems a bit hesitant, then he misses with a Superman. More toe to toe now, and both score in an exchange. Matyushenko rocks Pokrajac with some lefts and rights before clinching and tossing the Croatian to his back. Matyushenko postures in half-guard, lands a few punches, then stands and tries to pass. He gets only to half-guard, but he pressures with punches, then a deep keylock that Pokrajac somehow survives. Matyushenko releases and moves to the back when Pokrajac scrambles. One minute remains, and Matyushenko has both hooks in, searching for the choke. He can't get it, and Pokrajac scrambles to his knees. Matyushenko pushes him back to the cage, briefly holds a headlock, then lands a few more punches before pushing Pokrajac to his back. Better round, at least from Matyushenko, who takes it 10-9.

Round 3 - Pokrajac opens a bit more aggressively, working in punches and a few low kicks. Matyushenko answers as well, but both are scoring. Pokrajac with a few knees in the clinch. Pokrajac defends a takedown, though a second effort sees him on his back. Pokrajac pulls guard, but the action is slow and the fighters are restarted. Matyushenko throws a jab, lands a right, then just misses with a haymaker. Pokrajac pushes forward, though another stalemate is restarted. Pokrajac throws a leaping knee. Both fighters trade a few slow, sloppy shots. Less than two minutes remain. Matyushenko circles off the cage in a clinch, though he's tripped backwards and settles for half-guard. Pokrajac tries to work from the side, though Matyushenko ties up his arms and sweeps to top position. Matyushenko finishes the slow round there, taking the fight on the MMAjunkie.com card, 30-27. JASON BRILZ VS. ELIOT MARSHALL

Round 1 - Marshall takes the center of the cage, and opens the offense with a leaping jab. Marshall again throws his hands, though Brilz covers up. Brilz rushes forward, but doesn't throw. Marshall circling, moving away well, then lands a 1-2. Brilz pushes forward, but again finds nothing. Marshall lands a left, but Brilz finally has the range close enough to answer. Brilz ties up briefly, but there's nothing there and he moves away. Marshall with a jab, then circling away. Brilz ducks a punch and shoots in, though Marshall defends. Two minutes remain. Marshall circling, landing with quick strikes. Brilz finally lands a 1-2, pushing Marshall to the cage. Marshall tries to for for a leg, but backs away. Marshall lands a high kick. Brilz swings wide, but he's having trouble finding Marshall as time expires. MMAjunkie.com sees the first for Marshall, 10-9.

Round 2 - Marshall again circling to open the second. Brilz drops for a single-leg, but Marshall defends well. Marshall breaks free and backs away. Brilz tries it again, but Marshall is effective in defense. Crowd boos at the pace. Marshall still moving away, though striking less now. Brilz pushes in behind a flurry, pushing Marshall to the cage. There's little offense in the clinch, though a knee from Brilz scores low. Replays show it's right up the pipe, so to speak. A touch of gloves after a brief rest. Halfway through the round. Brilz chasing with punches. A few sneak in, though Marshall answers with a nice right uppercut. Brilz looks low again. A second look sees a double-leg, but there's simply no finish. Brilz tries again, scoring a trip, but Marshall scrambles to top. Less than a minute. Marshall scores with his hands. Brilz leaps in with a knee, but Marshall answers. Brilz scores a right hand as time expires. Little in the way of effective offense in the second, but MMAjunkie.com gives to Brilz for pushing forward throughout the round.

Round 3 - Urijah Faber walks in to a nice ovation, even as the third round starts. Brilz agains pushes in, shoving Marshall to the cage. Again, he can't finish. Another shot from Brilz. They push away. Brilz swinging wildly. Marshall circling. Brilz pushes in again. Marshall circles of, but Brilz puts hi, right back on the cage. Halfway through the final round, and there is little to decide this fight. The crowd does not like the action, or lack of it. Brilz shoots in yet again, then backs away. Brilz throws a low kick, so there's something different. Familiar pattern. Toe to toe breiefly as time runs out, but the crowd lets the two fighters know this was not their best effort. Close round with little to judge, but MMAjunkie.com thinks Brilz did enough to not lose, therefore "winning" the round, 10-9. Wouldn't argue if anyone disagrees, and two judges do. Back-to-back snoozers for the prelims. Eliot Marshall def. Jason Brilz via split decision (30-28, 27-30, 30-27).

BRIAN FOSTER VS. RICK STORY

Round 1 - Referee Dan Miragliotta oversees the action, and this card needs a jumpstart. A quick trade os jab, and the two stand to-to-toe. Massiv blows coming from both fighters, though a left wobbles story. Foster keeps the offense on, then pulls guard when Story looks for the floor. Story passes out to side control. Foster rolls, and Story takes the back. The two stand, and Story's nose in bleeding horribly. Foster scrambling, but he's pushed to his back. Story works from half-mount, then switches out to side control. Two minutes remain, but Foster not offering much from his back. Story keeping control of the head, then postures up and lands a few shots. Story stands, and Foster throws a few upkicks before popping up as well. Story grabs the leg and shoves Foster back to the floor. Less than a minute, and back on the feet. Big punches again. Story pushes Foster to the fence as time expires. Gutsy round earns an applause from the crowd. MMAjunkie.com awards it Story, 10-9.

Round 2 - Nice applause as the round opens. Story lands a jab and Foster misses with a high kick. More toe-to-toe, and Story earns a takedown. Foster pulls an open guard, though Story pops quickly out to half. Story pushes Foster's left arm over and drops in the head-and-arm choke, despite being in full guard. Foster tries to briefly push down on his arm to buy time, but it's a temporary fix. Story squeezes and Foster is forced to tap. Rick Story def. Brian Foster via submission (arm-triangle choke) - Round 1, 1:09.

RAFAELLO OLIVEIRA VS. NICK LENTZ

Round 1 - Referee Kerry Hatley opens the lightweight contest, and the two touch gloves. Lent opens with a low kick, Oliveira answers. Lentz throws it again. Oliveira swings and misses, then lands his own low kick. Lentz pushes forward. Oliveira jabs, Lentz answers with a combo. Oliveira shoots in, and Lentz tries to secure a guillotine as the two fall to the floor. He finally releases, but returns to his feet. Oliveira scores a nice right hand, then charges in. Lentz ducks the attack, then jumps up for a guillotine. Oliveira falls to the floor, then pops up out of it. Halfway through the round, and Oliveira goes on the attack with strikes. A few lands, and Oliveira drops and slams his opponent to the floor. Lentz tries again for the guillotine then briefly an armbar and an omo plata. Olivira swings out of them all with ease. Oliveira maintains top position, though Lentz stands and scores with his hands. Less than a minute, and both narrowly miss with hard shots. Lentz misses with a right and shoots in, slamming Oliveira to the floor. Lentz quickly stands back up. Lentz had several submission attempts, but none close. MMAjunkie.com sees an entertaining round for Oliveira, 10-9.

Round 2 - Both fighters ladn hands to open. Brilz takes advantage of a miss and pushes Oliveira to his back, though he doesn't capitalize Lentz looking crisp with a punch-kick combo. Oliveira answers with a punch. Pace settling two minutes in, though Lentz turning to the aggressor. Oliveira counters and moves away. Oliveira shoots in, and Lentz tries to grab the guillotine as he falls. Not there, and he pulls guard. Lentz rolls for a kimura, releases, then moves back. Oliveira on top, though Lentz stands in a scramble. Lentz again pushes forward, his nose bleeding. Lentz lands a nice kick to the ribs as time expires. Oliveira spent time on top, but MMAjunkie.com sees it for Lentz based on the more effective striking and the brief submission attempts, 10-9.

Round 3 - Lentz scores to the leg. Both miss on kicks. Oliveira throws hands, then shoots in. Lentz defends, then tries again for a guillotine as he falls. He quickly releases, and sets up in guard. Lentz strikes from his back, then the pair stands. Two minutes in. Oliveira scores with a right hand, though Lentz answers. Lentz ducks a punch and scores a takedown, though Oliveira scrambles from half-guard below. Lentz stands and delivers punches to the midsection. Oliveira tries a few upkicks, and Lentz drops into guard, though punches come with the move. Lentz again stands and punches the gut, then moves to the side while in half-mount to deliver a few more blows. One minute left, and Lentz continues to strikes. Oliveira hammer-fisting from the bottom, but it pales in comparison to the blows from top. Lentz stands and eats an upkick as time expires. Both fighters raise their arms in victory. STEVE LOPEZ VS. JIM MILLER

Round 1 - The evening's final prelim opens without a touch of gloves. Both fighters work jabs early, and both are swinging crisply. Lopez holds the center of the cage, and he throws confidently. Miller wobbles Lopez with a left. Lopez scores with an overhand right. Lopez delivers a straight right, but Miller works twice to the legs. Lopez works his jab with the reach advantage, but Miller standing and trading in the pocket. Miller shoots, but Lopez slides away. Miller scores with a high kick. Miller drops Lopez with a left, then pounces. A few blows mostly miss, and Lopez tries guard. Miller locks in a D'arce choke, but can't finish. He releases the hold but unleashes a flurry on Lopez. Lopez collapses in the corner, and Miller tries to get the back. He can't, but he continues to land shots from top position. Lopez has guard, but it's not preventing the strong punches from making their way through. Less than a minute remains. Miller drops for an ankle with time winding down, and Lopez pops up firing. Round ends, and it's a solid Miller win, 10-9.

Round 2 - Lopez jabs, and he throws a front kick. Miller answers with fierce hooks. Lopez snaps out a jab, but his left shoulder apparently separates. The bone protrudes from the top of his shoulder, and appears immobile. Lopez immediately apologizes to Miller as the bout has to be stopped. Jim Miller def. Steve Lopez via TKO (injury) - Round 2, 0:48.

TOMASZ DRWAL VS. DREW MCFEDRIES

Round 1 - Live on Spike TV, and referee Leon Roberts shouldn't blink. The pair trade low kicks. Drwal pawing jabs, but McFedries throws hard lefts. McFedries connects on an uppercut, but Drwal lands a few shots of his own. Drwal decides to shoot in, though he can't wrestle McFedries to the floor. McFedries backs away. McFedries' left eye marked a bit. Drwal rushes in but is pushed aside. Drwal lands a low kick. McFedries lands an uppercut, left hand combo, but Drwal pushes him to the floor. McFedries stands, but Drwal has his back on the feet. Drwal throws some winding knees to the legs, then backs away. Both fighters sucking a bit of wind. McFedries feigns, then lands a few shots. Toe to toe, both sluggers land. Drwal lands a 1-2 as McFedries falls away. McFedries throws, but Drwal waves him in for more. McFedries falls on a slip, then stands and pulls guard. Drwal stands and starts to unleash a flurry. Time nearly out, and McFedries trutles. Drwal tries the choke, but time expires. MMAjunkie.com sees it for Drwal, 10-9.

Round 2 - Drwal lands a left that wobbles McFedries. Drwal keeps pushing forward, and wrestles McFedries to the floor, quickly taking side control. McFedries rolls, and Drwal pounces on his back. McFedries has nothing to offer, and Drwal slowly works in the choke, cinches the hold and forces the tap.

COLE MILLER VS. EFRAIN ESCUDERO

Round 1 - A touch of gloves gets the fight underway. Miller paws with jabs, then throws a front kick. Escuedero keeps his distance. Miller chasing, then backs away. Both fighters throw a few jabs, but nothing yet of consequence. Miller works an inside leg kick Miller throws a right kick to the body, Escudero catches and pushes him to the ground but won't follow. Miller misses from outside with his hands, then sneaks one in. Escudero scores a low kick, then just misses a knee. Two minutes remain. Little so far as both fight cautiously from the feet. Kicks traded, then Escudero catches a high kicks and throws MIller to the floor. Escudero leaps in with a 1-2, then a strong right hand that drops Miller. Three more punches follow on the ground, and a defenseless Miller has to be saved by referee Yves Lavigne. Efrain Escudero def. Cole Miller via TKO (punches) - Round 1, 3:36.

HERMES FRANCA VS. TYSON GRIFFIN

Round 1 - Referee Dan Miragliotta gets the evening's first pay-per-view bout started. Griffin opens with an outside leg kick, Another one stings Franca. Franca stationary as Griffin attacks. Griffin lands a jab. A right hand to the body scores. Griffin continues to work the low kicks. Franca hesitant and eats a 1-2. Grifin with an overhand right, then a high kick. Griffin not rushing in, but Franca offering nothing. Griffin scores with a right hand, then returns to the low kick. Halfway through the frame. Griffin moves in and eats an uppercut. A Superman punch for Griffin, then a jab. Boos echo through the arena as Griffin looks to avoid the looping shot that Franca seems unwilling to throw. Griffin works a pair of lefts past Franca's defense. A left drops Franca, though he pops up and returns fire. Griffin continues to punish the legs while Franca looks for the big shot. Griffin earns the round, 10-9, though the crowd wants more action.

Round 2 - Franca nearly lands the big right, though Griffin answers with a jab. Franca moves forward with a flurry, though he slips after a jab. Franca catches a kick, and the two throw as Griffin balances on one leg. Crowd erupts, then pace settles a bit. Griffin with the inside leg kick. Griffin low kick again. Griffin scores a right hand, then nearly delivers an overhand. Griffin scoring with the faster hands. Another kick is caught, then Griffin throws to the body. jabs working for Griffin. Franca misses with a looping uppercut. A quick low kick, then Griffin nearly lands low. Franca misses with a pair of homerun shots. Griffin drops Franca with a right hand, then rushes in with a flurry of blows. Franca works underneath to avoid the shots, but Griffin is relentless with right hands. Miragliotta watches closely, and he's forced to rush in. Tyson Griffin def. Hermes Franca via knockout (punches) - Round 2, 3:26.


FRANK TRIGG VS. JOSH KOSCHECK

Round 1 - Mixed reaction for the introduction of both fighters. Referee Leon Roberts gets the action started. A quick touch of gloves. Trigg paws with the jab. Koscheck answers with a right. Koscheck eats a left, but he backs away. Koscheck with his back to the cage, slides out and resets. Koscheck misses with two hard rights. Trigg is caught with a heavy right hand, then drops with a second. Koscheck pounces and continues the assault. Trigg trapped against the cage, and he's doing little to avoid the blows. Roberts rushes in to halt the bout. Trigg pops up and is a bit upset at the stoppage, though he immediately congratulates Koscheck on the win. Josh Koscheck def. Frank Trigg via TKO (punches) - Round 1, 1:25.


PAUL DALEY VS. MARTIN KAMPMANN

Round 1 - Referee Yves Lavigne starts the bout, and the two trade quickly. The flurries miss. Daley pushes forward. Kampmann tries a takedown, and Daley capitalizes on the defense by landing a few shots. Neither fighter afraid to trade. Both connect with shots the back away. Daley grabs a Thai clinch, though Kampmann wobbles him briefly. Daley scres with a lead hook. Clinch, and Daley lands inside. Kampmann answers with his own. Daley wobbles Kampmann with a left hand on the jaw, and a flurry of 10 unanswered shots from Daley is unleashed. Kampmann covering up on the fence, but many of the shots find their mark. Kampmann won't drop, but the shots are scoring and Lavigne rushes in. Crowd doesn't like the stoppage, but Kampmann appeared to be in trouble. Paul Daley def. Martin Kampmann via TKO (punches) - Round 1, 2:31.

JUNIOR DOS SANTOS VS. MIRKO "CRO COP" FILIPOVIC

Round 1 - Referee Dan Miragliotta gets the two heavyweights underway in the evening's co-feature. Dos Santos opens with a jab, then rushes in with a 1-2. Dos Santos standing close, pushing forward on Filipovic. Filipovic has yet to throw a strike as he measure. The pair trade body shots. Filipovic lands a kick to the leg. Dos Santos continues to push as Filipovic backs away. Filipovic slaps a kick to the body. Filipovic lands a left hand, but Dos Santos answers. Dos Santos is giving Filipovic a bit of room, though he then clinches. Filipovic backs away. Halfway through the frame. Dos Santos Santos clinches, though Filipovic spins off the cage. Chants of "Cro Cop" erupt, though the actions stalls in the clinch. Both fighters trade knees. Briefly on the ground, but back up. Dos Santos with a right to the body and a left upstairs. Dos Santos with another left, though his own left eye is bruising quickly. Clinch and away with a minute left. Dos Santos continues to push forward, and Filipovic is offering little return, though the room to unleash a kick is certainly being given. Another clinch. Filipovic's right eye marked significantly as well as the round comes to a close. MMAjunkie.com sees it for Dos Santos, 10-9.

Round 2 - Dos Santos feigns a kick. Filipovic circling, but hesitant. Dos Santos lands a straight right, then a jab. Filipovic misses, and Dos Santos attacks again with jabs. Filipovic lands a kick, eats a right hand, then delivers a stiff left. Dos Santos attacks the body. Traded jabs. Boos erupt as the pace slows briefly. Dos Santos scores again, inside then out, and the punches are slipping through. Filipovic has answered in spots, but not consistently. Filipovic misses with the high kick. Halfway through the frame. Dos Santos bouncing, Filipovic circling, flat-footed. Dos Santos with a nice jab, and right hand to body. Filipovic lands a jab. Clinch, and Dos Santos scores as he moves away. Filipovic slow to attack, though he does unleash a low kick to his opponent's cup. After a brief delay, fight is restarted. Dos Santos lands a left hook up top. Both land heavy punches. Dos Santos flurries as time expires. Another complacent round for Filipovic, and MMAjunkie.com sees it for Dos Santos, 10-9.

Round 3 - Filipovic moves forward to start, but Dos Santos is right there to halt the rush. Dos Santos lands to the body with a right hand, and Filipovic throws a low kick. Dos Santos throws a knee, grabs a clinch and lands another. Filipovic wobbles. More from Dos Santos. Knees inside as Filipovic moves away. Another knee inside, then one up top. Filipovic in trouble. Dos Santos grabs clinch and lands two more knees inside. Dos Santos backs away, and Filipovic grabs his face. Dos Santos yells in celebration, though no call has been made. Filipovic doesn't act is if he wants to move forward, and Miragliotta does come in and stop the bout. Odd ending. Filipovic leaves the cage with his head covered in a towel. Junior Dos Santos def. VITOR BELFORT VS. RICH FRANKLIN

Round 1 - Referee Yves Lavigne gets the main event started after a roaring entrance. A quick touch of gloves. Franklin takes the center. Franklin paws a few jabs, Belfort feigns a kick then snaps a low one. Franklin with a low kick as chants of his name fill the building. Belfort throws a quick combo that's avoided. Franklin throws a right and Belfort answers. Belfort catches a kick, but he can't score on the counter. Missed jabs by each, then simultaneous power shots. Belfort really looking to counter. Franklin throws out a few jabs, but he defends before the counter comes. Two minutes remain, and Belfort finally throws. Franklin catches a grazing left and solid right that drops Franklin. A left hand catches Franklin flush, and he collapses. A few more shots follow that look close to the back of the head, but the damage is done and the fight halted. Vitor Belfort def. That's a good win for Escudero. I'm not sure why so many people picked Miller to win this fight. I don't think he is as good as some people make him out to be. No disrespect to him, but he hasn't proven that much yet. I had Escudero winning this since it was announced. I think it is reasonable to pick a good wrestler with a decent submission game over a regular jiu jitsu fighter. That's just my opinion.
