it'd be a good one! but, unless BJ get's a perfect punch on Karo's face, Karo will win this by either lat sub, or unanimous decision. And karo can take a punch too...

BJ has great strikes. He isn't that great with distance but his accuracy with his jabs and crosses make him dangerous. Karo is a bad shooter. Karo would much rather bang or throw to get into the right distance so he can go to a clinch. Once there Karo will have a hard time getting BJ over. Karo is going to need to work on getting to the clinch more effectively and improve is takedown.

I am amazed at how much damage Karo can take. He may get stunned once in a while but he recovers so quickly. From the look of the last fight, he is strength training(not saying there was alot of muscle there but there was more than usual)and his striking was great, although not on Penn's level. I would have to give Penn the advantage in this one because I think they would keep it standing out of respect for each others ground work. I would say Penn by decision but I think it would be a good enough war that the loss wouldn't hurt either of them too much.

A groan of tedium escapes me...

Agreed for Oil....

I see BJ taking this one, but don't mistake that for Karo...Karo is f***ing awesome...

1. He who spares the bad injures the good

2. To compete is to live, but in order to fight you must first begin by digging two graves.

3. No good deed shall go unpunished.

i think karo can develope as a great counterpuncher, and allow the takedowns against him to work his stellar groundgame!!! those are his strengths, and those would work against BJ, maybe...

That's true. He could let BJ take him to the ground so he can work his ground game.

I'm actually confused as to what BJ is thinking in his last two fights. I know BJ has ground game..and I know that he knows, that his last two opponents had ground games; but it seemed like he was/has improved his stand up a little. Mostly his hands, not his feet. He still rests right in the pocket distance. Bah!...maybe he wasn't in good enough shape to work it better for those fights.

Was just wondering cause if Karo waits for a takedown by BJ...that takedown might not come if BJ is changing his style more to keep it standing and only using his ground game as a defense action...(sort of like what Fedor does in his fights).

BJ has th best ground game in the division. I think he should concentrate on it. Ya his striking is very good also but BJ can submit pretty much anybody if he tries.

BJ is better all the way around, Karo works harder, but it won't save him.

i'll never understand why fighters underutilize their strengths. for example, vitor belfort is a great BJJ guy, but all his fights are about striking, and when he is on the ground, he does everything to get back up. strange. but BJ is sorta like that!!!
