i didn't say he "got it out of nowhere"... but the fact is QJ still murdered him, and would do so again! (assuming the right QJ shows up)

You can't deny that Chuck is the best at striking.

Dummy who posted this has no clue how to box or knows nothing about striking.

funny thing is... i remember on one of the last TUF's, chuck said how he uses his "superman" punch (that over the shoulder swinging fist). That right there shows he is not a technical striker because he's relying on lucky brute strength to hopefully hit the guy's jaw. a good striker will work his skill and make that hole, not hope to mash through it!

Chuck is an awesome striker definetly. He has killer power and can connect haymakers all the time. I dont think he is the best striker though. I would have to go with Shogun for the LHW.

absolutely. Shogun has not only "shown" he's the best striker out there, but "proven" it by fighting the top guys in the division. Chuck has "payed his dues" by fighting a lot of guys... but he's never fought the calibre of strikers (and ground guys) that Shogun has.

and shogun trains with Wandy... chuck trains with...

I find that a lot of MMA guys come in all wild and swinging big crazy haymakers. As an ex-boxer it always makes me laugh my bag off...99% of the stand up in MMA is pure armature...these guys wouldn't last 30 seconds against even a mediocre pro-boxer if the "take down" was out of the equation. I do think it's getting better though, fighters are obviously working a lot on their stand up but christ they have a long, long way to go.

i'm not so sure Rampage would beat Liddell again. Chuck is even better at sprawling than he was before. definitly one of the best at defending takedowns. plus in the octagon he could use the cage to stand back up.

well theres also the aspect of fighting in the clinch like muay thai and also kicks i acually made a thread not to long ago stateing my opion that if someone like chuck liddell or tim sylvia fought a boxer of equal status in the boxing world they would get ruined IMO. many people contested about the kicks but i dont think that those two even kick that much
