I just hate when guys make excuses. Carwin makes excuses for everything--like who the hell blaims their mom for not wrestling at Division I? I hope Lesnar teaches Carwin and those who think that Carwin is the Machida or Anderson Silva of the HW division. Lesnar has said little (only talked about the difference between divisions in college) and I KNOW he is channeling all his anger and disgust into training and developing a fool-proof gameplan. Not even Greg Jackson can stop Lesnar when Lesnar is at the top of his game physically and mentally.

Have you guys ever heard of the respect Couture has for Lesnar? Couture has stated in interviews that Lesnar is just getting better and better with every fight and I remember reading weeks ago about Couture comparing Lesnar to Fedor when talking about preparation and mindset.

Carwin is really fanning the flames and Lesnar will certainly provide for some great post fight highlights if he smacks Shane down.

At this point I have a lot of respect for what both guys have done, and i expect to see a nasty brawl from these monsters.

This is gonna be fun long after the fight is over!

Not a lot of opportunities for D-1 wrestling folks post-college, even champs. It's not like he was going to enter the WWE draft or anything similar to what a B-ball or Football players would attempt to do.

D-1 is better over-all, but it's not the biggest factor when you are looking at getting an eduction if you are a wrestler.

Well put. As said on the other topic about this interview I really used to like Carwin, but for a guy that is supposed to be pretty smart (based on his education) he talks so much bs and comes up with excuses all the time. He talks about respect while showing none of it himself. He talks about being a real fighter unlike Brock while having much weaker resume to show of his work.
On top of that trashtalk you got Carwin's mom/trainers protecting him from mean comments and adding their "2 cents" to every discussion with dumb hype up comments about how Carwin is doing this and that to Brock. I don't mind pre-fight hype up and I understand its easier to stay motivated for a fight during long camps like that. For ****s sake though we have seen so many embarresing losses to guys that have talked **** about their opponents pre-fight (Herring, Penn, Franklin and Bisping being good examples) so rest of the guys should know by now how silly they'll look if they actually fail to deliver. Carwin will prolly follow Forrest's example and hide for few months when this fight is done, because clearly Brock has already beaten him mentally.

Its kind of funny that he thinks he has earned this title shot by one top 5 (i dunno, gonzaga is lower then top 5 to me, but hw is so weak i could see the arguement) win...... alot of it has to do with the sheer size of Carwin, but he thinks its because he has shown these well rounded skills proving he is a great fighter??lawl
