D-1 is better over-all, but it's not the biggest factor when you are looking at getting an eduction if you are a wrestler.
Could be true but its not like someone is going to pass up the opportunity to go to D-1 and stay D-2. Also, there are plenty of opportunities for D-1 folks, especially education-wise. These guys are given bigger scholarships, red carpet treatment, and easier path into graduate programs. Can you imagine what being a D-1 champ would bring. You'd be recruited to train for the Olympics. Then, winning a gold medal would bring even more exposure and sponsorship deals (not as bring as Phelps but getting a few sponsorships can bank close to half-a-mill easily for a gold medalist).

yeah, if you think about it, the education would be so much easier in D-1. Yeah you'd train more but you get admission into such higher levels of Universities on scholarship.

Agreed to an extent, there is a bigger diff in Div 1 for the major sports because of the $$ to be made by colleges during and the players afterwords compared to other sports (wrestling, track, volley-ball) with very few exceptions. Sure there is the possibility of the Olympics but I think that fits into the exceptions.

For some reason, the more Carwin talks, the less I like him.
