And beating a 40 year old couture, and not even being able to finish a can like herring does not make you special. He has 1 good win, beating down frank mir.

lesnar is a dead man.
Great post.. But wasn't you arguing that Brock was the #1 heavy weight that would pretty much molest Fedor badly just a few days ago? http://www.mmaforum.com/ufc/63502-da...ml#post1013019

Lesnar has been much stronger than everyone else he has fought.
Lesnar has much better functional strength than Carwin. He is also much faster than Carwin with better all around skills.

Yo moron, muscles weigh a lot more than fat. Brock has more lean muscle mass than Carwin which has been proven time and time again to be more effective in athletics.

On topic: I'm also picking Carwin to pull the 'upset'.

Can't everyone just get along? LOL

Whether Carwin is stronger or as strong as Lesnar remains to be seen, the only thing we truly know is that Lesnar has the bigger frame, while Carwin has a more solid structure. They both come from wrestling backgrounds, they both come from great camps, and they are both strong not only physically, but mentally. Now that there's some hate involved, it makes for an extremely exciting match, I can understand while people are getting so worked up; who doesn't want to see two gifted titans go at it? 6 weeks before UFC106 and its the most talked about fight on the forums!

Carwin weighed in well below the 265 limit against Gonzaga: 259.5. Lesnar weighs in at the 265 limit and says he is about 276 the day of the fight.

Oddly, Muir believes Lesnar would take Fedor in a cage. But he picks Carwin against Lesnar.

All I have to say is Im not surprised he picked Carwin and I dont think he brought any real insight with his prediction.

The only chance Carwin has against Brock is to KO him standing. A "punchers chance" in MMA is about 50/50 imo. Carwin has poor striking at best, though be it, insane punching power.
I can almost see where Carwin is going with all this. Great power in his hands and probably wants to be known as a KO artist. He already has the wrestling BUT it will take him years to become even a decent mma striker. MMA striking obviously is difficult to become proficient at. Lots of striking martial arts out there to master. Again; Carwin's striking is sub-par. I dont see enough head movement and foot work (and lots more) to even call em a good Boxer.
Having said all this (thanks for listening) I want Carwin to put Brock to sleep with a nice strait right or a clean right hook.
But I dont see that happening. Brock is too smart to get into a punching exchange with Carwin. Both deffinitly have brutal KO power and Carwin is more polished in that dept.
Brock probably walks around close to 300lbs and cuts all that weight to make 265. Carwin looks to be a more natural 265 pounder. Come fight night Brock will be alot bigger and maybe even stronger than Carwin...

Come on you know Mir is going to say that because he cant stand Brock. But I think it is funny how he said they would fight again. First Mir should fight Big Nog again so Mir can prove he is better then Nog.
