There is always Okami. The guy has won three in a row just like Hendo and Nate. His only UFC loss is to Franklin, he is seven and one in the octagon. If the guy doesnt want to fight any one at middleweight then it is time to give up the belt and move up in weight. I like real champions like GSP and Fedor, they dont bitch, they just fight.

lol at fedor when his ass is ducking every ****in ufc fighter to fight brett 1 hit wonder rogers..get the **** out of here..BELFORT HASNT FOUGHT AT 185 how the **** can his first fight at 185 be for the title. common sense. ANDERSON BEAT NATE AND DAN BEFORE. there both on a comeback so they both should fight each other to see who gets the title shot. its stupid to waste spiders fights to see him whoop both of these asses. and spider will fight belfort like he said its up to his docters. he didnt say he wont fight him his coaches said belfort doesnt deserve the shot because he hasnt FOUGHT at 185 yet PERIOD

I am pretty sure the Belfort fight will happen it makes sense from the UFC's stand point (money etc)and it should be very entertaining. People need to let go of the whole "Dan should get the next shot blah blah" he had his chance and the result will most likely be the same And seems like Dana doesn't want it either so it's time to let go... Silva's manager just wants the biggest fights for the remainder of the spiders contract he's not dictating who gets the next shot.

I'm surprised at the comments here...

Silva didn't say he wouldn't find Vitor, he's saying he doesn't believe he deserves the shot and that Hendo/Nate squaring off first to determine Number 1 is fair. (Which I agree with wholeheartedly)

Silva will fight whoever is put in front of him, he just believes Dana is shortchanging Dan and Nate with Vitor...

I don't really agree with vitor and silva fighting either, but does anyone else feel like ed soares is acting more and more like fedors management, like silva is his fighting slave or something?

Vitor is overrated right now, Silva's camp knows it and so does Dana. The only reason Dana wants this fight is because he can hype the shit out of it and because it is a new opponent for Silva at 185. Silva would pick Vitor apart piece by piece. Marquardt or Henderson have better chances at beating Silva then Vitor does imo.

He picks his opponent, agreed.

I'm not saying he'd beat any of the guys I listed above. (He wouldn't) FYI.
He's stated he wants to fight them but won't sign papers, except for RJJ who he thinks is washed out. He isn't unfortunately and will probably crush Silva quickly.

This thread reaffirms my belief that 90% of MMA fans have very little awareness with reality. That, and they can't stand when someone they apparently don't like succeeds. I'm so disgusted with this thread that I hardly even care to support my opinions with reason. It also surprises me that so many people are complaining about Silva signing the fight. If you're not going to read the article, please don't comment on it. The article mentioned him not signing the fight until he was aware what sort of condition he was in medically. If you want him to sign a fight before he's aware of that, you're just plain stupid. Secondly, he said he'd fight anyone the UFC put in front of him later in the article, but also said he simply didn't agree with the decision of it being Vitor. I can't understand why people seem to have such a hard time comprehending this.

Vitor's win over Franklin >>>>> Silva's win over Leben too, 100x more impressive.
... Yes, his fight was One-hundred times more impressive than Silva's 100% accuracy fight against Leben.

MMA Math ftw. Vitor beat Franklin quicker than Silva did, Belfort's got it won then.......

I like Vitor alot, think he's a mega entertaining fighter, but he won't beat Anderson Silva. I don't think anyone will at Middleweight tbh. Everyone else in contention has had a go and been comprehensively beaten, and I don't see Vitor being any different. Sure he's got very good boxing, and he's got fast punches, but knocking out Lindland and Franklin is a little different to facing an elite striker like Anderson Silva. I see nothing but a Silva victory.

Proudly Supporting

Conor McGregor
Joe Lauzon
Ronda Rousey
Chael Sonnen
Mark Hunt
Daniel Cormier

Look at this way, he's trying to make Silva's legacy the best it can possibly be before he retires. He wants to put as many names as possible under Silva's belt, he doesn't give a shit about Nate, or Dan at this point since Silva has already proven himself against them. As for Vitor, he simply doesn't deserve a title shot yet.

Silva's management is doing the exact opposite that Fedor's is. Fedor's management want to preserve his legacy, while Silva's wants to make it even greater.

Anyone who thinks Silva is ducking Vitor is out of the their mind. It's buiness, the guy only has so many fights left and he and Ed know it.

I do not consider Vitor a high profile oppenent, not yet. He KO'ed Rich with ease... in the words of Rich "so what?".

I'm always the first to say that anyone who says something is a sure bet in MMA is insane... and I'm not going there now. But I'll bet MY ACCOUNT that when this fight happens, Anderson wins, and wins by T(KO).
