Nope. I don't think he will win anyway, but I want Machida to give him a beating.

Man, if Machida loses on the 24th... I wonder how many fans will jump off his bandwagon. It happened with Gonzaga and Sokoudjou back in 2007 but the scary thing is that they weren't loved as much as Machida.
Shogun doesn't have much fans left so if he loses, it'd basically be the same since the Forrest/Coleman fights but still... It'll be interesting to see how people react if the Machida Era is short lived.
Can't wait to see this dream fight.

I guess it will depend on what kind of fight we get. Wanderlei gained support among the more casual UFC fans despite losing to Chuck, because he put on one hell of a fight.

I'm pulling for Machida here. I can't help but dig his style of taking no punishment and delivering maximum damage.
Hope to see him school Shogun here.

Yeah, but Wandy was a brawler and watching him wasn't about wins/losses, it was just to see a bar-fight. On the other hand, I and others love Machida because of his mystique and elusiveness. If he wins, his mystique will disappear--not that I believe he is losing against Shogun.

I met Shogun in Montreal and became an instant fan even though i was cheering for chuck so yes, I'm hoping for an upset. Not expecting it, but hoping for it.

I think that Shogun has a good chance, and I'm all for him. If he wins, I see it being a submission victory. It would be nice since he's my favorite light heavyweight in UFC now that Rampage is M.I.A.

i'm a fan of both fighters but frankly... Machida's style is just too sick, i love watching it. Hoping and expecting him to continue his reign for some time.
for those who feel Machida is a good matchup for shogun... i think you have it backwards. Agression is exactly what plays into Machida's style. And as for his speed... well Rashad is much faster than Shogun and he looked like it was his first day when he faced Mach. Machida has a way of taking legit studs and making them look like they are half cut, seeing double.
