Lightbulb Anyone rooting for Shogun to pull the upset?

I sure am.

Even though my mind says Machida should be able to keep Shogun at bay with his sumo wrestling and counter striking, my heart says that Shogun can catch him with a haymaker like punch or even a head kick. Wishful thinking yes, but Shogun has animal like aggression which few fighters have. He just keeps on attacking, attacking, attacking and doesn't stop. I hope Mauricio's cardio is excellent for IMO so far the biggest test in his career. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of MMA when he won the MWGP back in 05 but during 06-07 I started watching him and was hooked on his bandwagon. I can't go against him... Just can't.

Anyone else wanting Shogun to claim gold on the 24th?

I'm pulling for Shogun, dude always bring anarchy to the fight and it's entertaining as hell because he's so skilled yet so reckless it seems.

If Machida wins, I don't know how he could out-do his last post-fight interview either haha.

i think shogun is a little too wild and wide open..he does have a punchers chance but i see lyoto picking him off and winning a decision..if not that ko in the 3rd depending on shoguns gas tank

Top 5

1.Frank Mir
2.Mirko Crocop
3.Anderson Silva
4.Sean Sherk
5.Keith Jardine

Only because I would love to see what it would take to beat Lyoto, but I do not believe Shogun stands much of a chance. A guy who has to land punches to win vs a guy who never gets hit.

Im rooting for shogun in this fight. I think people wrote him off to quickly after he lost to Forrest. I wont be surprised at all if Shogun knocks lyoto out.
