-430 is generous, I think the -500 to -600 range is more realistic. Machida has looked that good and Shogun matches up poorly with him. I'd be ecstatic to get money down on Machida at -430 right now.

haha, I've learned my lesson making ridiculous bets when I'm drunk, at the time it seems like a really good idea and I always think I'm right after a few, but sadly it never seems to workout, but best of luck to ya!

I think Machida easily wins this because of his mindset alone. He's taking this fight very personally like he's trying to prove he is the champion all over again. I would even bet on him with -500 odds personally. Alot of people don't believe in him quite yet, because he doesn't have enough fights but I don't see anyone beating him for years.

Dont know what you're thinking TS. Rampage DID defend his belt against Hendo. So Rampage had one defense.

FEDOR vs MACHIDA

Yeah I didn't quite understand the explanation behind that. It was a "unification" fight and hence not a title defence? If Rampage lost, then Hendo would have been the champ, hence title defense.

In a Unification fight, the winner is still attempting to become the champion. The hunger is still there... there is a peak to look forward to achieving.

Once the unification happens, then the focus is on retaining the belt.

Machida stated that he's training and fighting like he's still going for the belt

Rampage was the UFC LHW champion when he beat Chuck..not an interim...he beat Dan henderson ..he was still the UFC LHW champion. If Dan wouldve won he wouldve been the UFC champion..not the "stillll priiiiiiiiiide liggght heavyweight champion".
When UFC brought out Pride..dans belt were paperweight..that unification crap was just to build hype around the fights and hype around dan henderson to the UFC fanboys
