He basically said that Anderson has the killer instinct from his birth but Lyoto has had to learn it. He also says that his and Chinzo's styles are different to Lyoto, they are attacking fighters where as Lyoto is a defensive fighter but is more confident in attacking and finishing fights now.

seriously coldcall, alot of the time you are pretty spot on.... but EVERY Machida thread (and they DOMINATE the front page now.... what kinda shampoo does he use?? where does he buy his socks??) you come up with some "facts" like machida will be champ for along time (doesnt sound like opinion, gotta be a "fact") nevermind the fact that if you have been paying attention to the LHW division, you see he has beaten ONE top five fighter his entire career..... oh yes, its fun to say "he beat BJ" wow..... GSP creamed BJ at 170.... its really a fair openweight fight with Machida and BJ.... great win.... way to lose a round to somebody way smaller then you..... i like Rick Franklin..... but lets be honest, even when he was MW champ and on top of his game, he has never been a true threat at 205.....

i dont see how given the body of his work, he even deserves to be mentioned with GSP, nevermind Anderson who is gonna bounce around divisions KOing and embarrassing ppl as he pleases, Machida seems to perhaps just be coming into his own.... at 31 years old..... fast learner huh.... if Shogun doesnt beat him, ill all but guarantee he will lose in his next 3 fights, somebody will figure him out, likely with a great ground game (shoguns isnt bad if he uses it), or these young bucks that are already at a high level but only 20-24 will start rounding into form and take this division by storm...

btw, Anderson is more accurate with his strikes and prob packs 10x the power..... think about it....

every thread about these two is based on nothing more than opinion. you cant compare their fights because they have not fought the same people. You cant say Machida will win just because Silva says he will. Everyone seems so 100% sure about their opinions when in reality, you can never count any fighter out. Let alone two fighters of this caliber. People are sure machida will win just because they want him to kill the legend. People want Silva to win to shut up the Machida fans. But its impossible to know for sure unless they fight.

^^ it's true. All we can say is this - if and when they fight, there will be punches and kicks thrown and someone will get hit with those punches and kicks. There will also more than likely be a winner and a loser. And someone will eat a subway sandwich that day.

Really thats why I chose to not go back and forth because the gist of this article isnt about one or the other being better....Its about one being a showman Silva (Due to pure comfort and natural ability like a Muhammed Ali) versus one that isnt a showman Machida(Not confident enough to drop his hands and get cocky) quiet and not a cocky like Royce Gracie......

You appear to have missed that concept, however you certainly are entiltled to believe whatever you want.......after all you've been watching MMA for a while

I think you are on the right path but killer instinct....no....Lyoto see's the opportunity to finish he will take it the same way that Anderson would...

Lyoto its often said doesnt finish fights, why do they all go to decision??? Well when he first began to fight he didnt use his Karate, you can go back and see alot of Sumo and Muay Thai in those fights and alot less Karate......NOW he is incorporating his Karate. Its been said by his father he was less confident in his past to utilize and rely on his Karate, but now that he has become more comfortable you are seeing the progression. Some one that is still for lack of a better way of saying "still figuring himself and his skills out" isnt gonna be a showboater....OR SHOWMAN like Lyoto's father was saying.

Im sure if you were to ask his father do you believe your son would be victorious against Anderson the answer would be a yes.....

I wasnt really directing what i was saying towards the article. it was more towards people that are talking about how anderson is better and then others coming back with no machida is better.
