Yushin Okami Gets Shafted Again

Its bad enough that Okami's fight with Chael Sonnen was relegated to the prelims but to add insult to injury the UFC is not even showing it on the one hour prelimenary show on Spike before the PPV. The two fights selected are Ryan Bader-Eric Schaffer and Antoni Hardonk-Pat Berry. While I really want to see those fights I think its complete BS that Okami's fight will not be shown. Even if he wins I don't think Okami will ever get a title shot.

Don't worry, Okami will get his title shot ONE DAY... Just not when Anderson is champion.

After The Spider makes his exit from the sport, Okami will get his chance. Believe.

I'm too distracted by the image of Yushin getting shafted...
Just kidding. Yushin should just jump to strikeforce or something. Seriously underrated by Dana, I guess he's getting punished for the dull fight that was Yushin v Franklin, but he is more aggressive now.

That's bunk as hell. One of the fights I was looking forward to. Damned no good Sutton (it's all somehow his fault you know).

I think if he comes out and finishes Sonnen in impressive fashion his stock will rise. I'm not a huge fan of Okami but he is a good talent. For his sakes I hope he has a great outing.

Okami needs to finish Sonnen in this fight - needs to be impressive.
If Hendo leaves UFC and Okami beats Sonnen then i think he should fight Marquardt for the number 1 contender to Anderson/Belfort winner

It's not really UFC's fault that he keeps suffering such untimely injuries. It's similar to what happened to Karo pre-UFC 56.

The difference is that Karo has a reputation as an exciting fighter, whereas Okami does not.

Still, I hope Thunder opens a few eyes with a dominant performance and gets himself back in the mix. And on the main card.

His fights are usually boring. Dana wants to show exciting fights on spike to make more people want to order the ppv. Hardonk vs Barry is pretty much a guaranteed KO and Baders fights are pretty good. I like Okami and hope he gets a title shot but it wont happen for awhile and i understand why he isnt on the main card or on spike. Hopefully he finishes the fight thne maybe they will show it.
