From what I understand, he embraces the Japanese style of cutting weight. It relies a lot more on dieting and fighting at natural weight levels. There's no "hard cutting" that you'll see Alves or Rumble or Lesnar do. Cutting from 213 to 205 is super easy, a week of eating small meals 1-2 times a day would cut that.
I think it was the Tito fight that he came in around 199lbs. Size doesn't affect his game plan much so I'm sure he just diets to whatever weight he ends up at. It's a much healthier way to cut but you'll certainly lose the size advantage.
Tito looks about 15% bigger, as I'm sure he cuts at least 15% more weight.
