What is Machida's walking-around weight?

He looks like he could maybe cut to 185. Does anyone know what he walks around at?

According to this Tatame interview, it's 213 lbs.

I think he could cut down to MW but why would he do that when he's the LHW champion and his training partner holds the belt at 185?

I could've sworn he's come into fights at like 197 or something close to that. It had always led me to believe that he didn't cut weight, and I had thought I heard from other places that he didn't cut weight, could be wrong though.

I remember a couple fights he came in just under 205 but didn't look shredded and didn't talk about having to cut weight. I am pretty sure if he actually cuts weight now it is only cause he has bulked up.

yeah he has come in around 200lbs, in terms of MMA weight he's a natural MW.

Anderson is at MW so he's staying at LHW as both have said they would not contest for belts in each others divisions.

Although Lyoto's physique has took some changes as he had never had physically training with an expert until just before the Tito, which could be a reason for his extra found snap in his punches.

From what I understand, he embraces the Japanese style of cutting weight. It relies a lot more on dieting and fighting at natural weight levels. There's no "hard cutting" that you'll see Alves or Rumble or Lesnar do. Cutting from 213 to 205 is super easy, a week of eating small meals 1-2 times a day would cut that.

I think it was the Tito fight that he came in around 199lbs. Size doesn't affect his game plan much so I'm sure he just diets to whatever weight he ends up at. It's a much healthier way to cut but you'll certainly lose the size advantage.

Tito looks about 15% bigger, as I'm sure he cuts at least 15% more weight.

Didn't he fight BJ Penn at about 220 pounds, he's more cut now though so my GUESS would be about 210-215. Off-topic but anyone have an idea on Rampage's walk around weight.

Favourite Fighters:

HW: Junior Dos Santos
LHW: Gegard Mousasi
MW: Anderson Silva
WW: Georges St. Pierre
LW: Kenny Florian
