I'd like to see Bonesy have a shot, I know its early days in his career but I really think that he could utilise that go go gadget reach against a counterattacker like Machida, could make for a very interesting match up.

I see where you're coming from . I guess i might be an oddball because Randy couture main events dont make me want to drop 50 bucks..maybe 3/4 years ago. Hell, i'd rather see jon jones fight machida ..he'd be 5-0 at that point in the UFC. I think that fight would be more exciting than Poppop couture trying to smother machida against the cage and dirty box him.

Glad someone agrees. I know Joe Rogan/Dana pump up coutures "meh" record by saying 2/3 or whatever of his fights in the UFC have been title fights . I looked up some of his fights..now i understand the UFC roster wasn't as stacked but i'm sure there were others just as deserving as him.

I'm a Huge Randy fan, but I agree it is annoying. I have always wanted to see him fight some upper level guys on the way to a title shot, and to earn it.

However, you can't argue with the reasoning behind it for the UFC. Randy is extremely popular and makes them some good money when he headlines a card. Hell, if I were them, I'd try and keep him in title shots all the time too, even there was only the slimmest justification for it.
