Who has anybody been waiting for Fitch to fight for a long time? The only thing that would really be interesting is if he was facing one of his AKA buddies. A rematch between Fitch and Alves doesnt really sound all that special to me, all it does is put one guy that already got dominated by GSP back into the number one contender spot. Im not crazy about watching GSP take either of these guys apart again.

I think it's great news, he's fighting one of two people I believe. Matt Hughes or Thiago Alves again. Both fights would be awesome IMO.

gdog43 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I think its Karo Pariysan. There was a lot of talk between the two of them ages ago about a possible fight - that talk obv died down but i can see that as being the opponent he is talking about.
I prefer that fight to Almedia - Almedia couldnt submit grove or cote then he had zero chance against Fitch - it would have been a decison win for Fitch, esp as it would have been almedia first fight at 170

Truth be told, I'd rather see Karo v. Hazelett still.

I'm thinking Hughes, or maybe Serra. Either are "big names."

Alves would be interesting but a big name seems more likely Hughes or maybe Koscheck. God, I hope it isn't Hughes, that would be a pointless pummelling.
