I would like to see Yoshida on top of that big Johnson, and try to take it from there - but in all honesty I don't think he can handle his girth.

How long has Yoshida been training with Greg Jackson for? He made reference to sparring at Jacksons during an interview at the 104 presser on UFC.com and i just watched his fight with Wolf again and jackson is in his corner. Has that been his camp for a long time?

Johnson looked disappointed and a little weak at weigh-ins, I really hope this fight doesn't last past the second round.

He came in weighing 176 and looked totally spent on the scale. He even looked to be disoriented during the face off. Time to move up to 185.

So considering AJ's appearance and attitude who do you guys think has the advantage now??

I still think AJ takes it but it does give Yoshida some hope if he can take Rumble into deep waters and wear him out

Rumble could barely walk up the steps. I'm sure Greg Jackson will have Yoshida grind on Rumble and try to take this to the later rounds. Rumble could still connect with a bunch of shots so we won't know until tomorrow.

The thing about Rumble is he has excellent TDD and can easily take down Yoshida and "rest" on top. This should be a very interesting fight now. I still think Rumble KO's him in the first but if Yoshida can weather the storm it may be the makings of an upset.

Very interesting! Seems like most people had Rumble Johnson picked before this. I think he's an exciting fighter but was kinda pulling for Yoshida - not based on analysis, just a big like for judo in MMA.

What does this do to the odds? And is Johnson just too big for WW, or is it reasonable to put 100% of the weight cut issues on his knee injury?

I'm taking Yoshida but like I said, it's more nuthuggery than objective analysis. Johnson's a strong, explosive guy, but Yoshida can be a pretty wily fighter.

Weight cutting issues aside, Johnson shouldn't be assumed the favorite based solely on his size advantage. He was a lot bigger than Clementi, but he was outdone by a superior grappler.
